Please. If you’re going to represent great harvest please hire staff that matches this brand. I’m so disappointed.

The Saturday afternoon staff at the Layton store 11/08/2025 missed the mark. Pleasant enough but very subpar/lazy customer service. There was a small line, moving fairly slowly so an additional employee came down to check us out who were next in line. After paying, we were not offered a slice of bread (which is an appeal to this bakery amongst the many). We had to ask if we could have a slice to which was delegated without any verbal communication to the employee already cutting slices for the customers ahead of us. The staff member who helped us walked away to eat his own pastry in view of customers and proceeded to socialize/flirt with a third employee. The customers whom were behind us were helped and provided a slice of bread while we continued to patiently wait. All the while never getting acknowledged that our service would be concluded. So we left. No complaints of the food or the atmosphere itself. My hope would be that places such as Great Harvest that are nostalgic to many and have been around for as long as it has would genuinely listen to this feedback and improve upon what can easily be fixed. Until then, we will likely not return. I would rather go to a bakery like Old Grist Mill in Kaysville in which I have never had an experience such as this and of which the young people working there seem to want to do well at their jobs and value quality service.

Placed a pickup order and when we showed up, the workers were simply rude. Specifically the blonde girl working at the moment, when we made a request for sprouts on the side, she made a face instantly and proceeded to do so while explaining to the other girl what our request was. I asked if we could put down the chairs to sit and eat and she thought about it for a second, as she makes a face she gives me an “yeah I guess” response.
We didn’t ask for much and our moods were great. I can’t imagine the job is so horrible that you have to act this way towards other people while being paid to do your job. She glared the entire time as we sat down and she gave dirty looks. Definitely won’t come back to this location. As well as rolling her eyes. The face she made stunk so bad I could smell it the entire time we ate.

Best cinnamon rolls in town! Big, gooey, soft, and delicious! They have the best breads! They could do better with dine in experience. No matter what time of day we go, the heavy chairs are on the tables! But other than that, I like eating here!

Every time I come here you’re closed. I’m not going to try anymore.
This place has fresh breads, cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc. but the prices have gone up so high that I cannot afford to even come in anymore. It’s located on Main Street in Layton.

We stopped in at 5:29 PM, which was 30 minutes from closing time and wanted to place an order for 10 to 12 sandwiches. We were told that it would be difficult because they were near closing time and could not make that order because there were just two people working. We were the only people in line. I would think you could make 10 to 12 sandwiches in 30 minutes. Disappointing.
I watched the manager box up a dozen cinnamon rolls with no gloves on for a customer waiting …. And proceeded to lick the frosting off her fingers while waiting for another box😭🤣 The other two workers had gloves on. Props to them!

I have no idea what all these 1 stars are for; never seen so many Karens in my life.
Here’s my opinion as someone who works in a place that is allegedly dirty and has rude service: the food is great. The workers are great. The building is great. A lot of y’all could learn a thing or two about this wonderful thing called

Every sandwich I’ve eaten here made my day.

It does not appear the floors have been cleaned for a loooooooong time. Very dirty atmosphere. On their menu they advertise box lunches, but that’s not an option at this store. That’s fine, how about removing it so your poor workers don’t have to explain it over and over.

Came to have lunch there. Waited in line for ever for anybody to even come to the front. Ordered the tortilla soup. There’s basically nothing in it but corn and onions. Filling my drink I noticed the thousand pounds of dust covered on everything around the surrounding area.. service was bad. They act like they’re doing you a favor when they finally do come to the front very rude then I noticed how filthy the floors are have not been vacuumed in the front very unclean there unlikely to go back..

I had such fond memories of freshly baked bread coming here as a child. I recently went to the location in ogden and was so impressed by the experience there that I decided it was time to come back to this location to relive memories. I don't know if my experience at the Ogden location was just too great, but words can't describe how disappointing my experience here was. I dont think anything I saw or ate there was fresh and the whole space was dusty and felt dirty. I do hope someone can clean this location up, because it use to be so special and has so much potential.

I haven't been to this one in a hot minute...but never had any complaints coming here. I did however call today and the customer service given was nice, thank you! I would rather come to this one than the Clinton store...they lost my patronage.
