Handel's Ice Cream Layton

Great Ice cream, pricey, they catered at my friend's weddings and that was amazing.
The gal at the counter was really quiet and the tables/area weren't very clean.

I wish I could get a gallon of chocoholic chunk or two.

The cream is always great & the prices are reasonable considering how good it is. The customer service is not so great… all the employees are teenagers which is fine besides the fact that they look at you like you have 4 eyes & that everything you say is inconveniencing. The Gen Z stare is contagious here apparently, & it’s disrespectful. The employees here could really use basic customer service skills.

Ice cream is great, service is awful. Rude teenagers with no adult supervision. They are always rude to the kids while taking orders and, would clearly rather be anywhere else. Last time we went The lobby was filled and at exactly 10 one of them walked out and very loudly and rudely yelled “you know what, we’re actually closed, so we’re going to have to ask everyone to leave.” And started slamming the chairs up on the tables. They close at 10, but I’ve never been kicked out of a restaurant like that. Usually you stop taking orders at closing and you wait until customers are finished before closing up. You don’t kick people out of the building. They also could have said something while serving people like “we close in 10 minutes”. Something!! It was so incredibly rude. These kids need to learn some manners. Next time we’ll go somewhere else. Would not recommend

Their ice cream is very good. They do have some weird flavors or at least weird mix-ins in their ice cream, like chocolate sprinkles with cotton candy. This specific location smells like cigarettes and it really ruins the experience. I always think it’s someone in front of me but even the bathrooms smells like smoke.

This is our favorite ice cream shop. Wish they would open up one closer to home.

The employees politely accommodated a bunch of free samples/taste testing due to the abundance of flavor options. Serving sizes were generous (which was expected given the higher cost of the ice cream). The Caramel Coconut flavor (like the Girl Scout cookie), and were very pleased. I wasn't blown away, but I enjoyed my experience.

Absolutely loved Layton Handels! The people were so kind and the ice cream was SO good! I’m not usually a fan of icecream but Handles might be one of my new favorite places for a quick treat! Would absolutely recommend!

I love Handel's! Service was super quick and efficient and they gave us some really nice sized scoops of ice cream. The workers were so friendly and polite! I'm definitely coming back again!

Handles Layton is the best place to go!! I love how fast the service is and the team manners are always so nice. I get great service and I love to go with my friends and enjoy the environment.

Handels is the best icecream out there! All the staff are so nice and welcoming! Icecream portions are very good and have lots of yummy flavors!!

UPDATE: A while back I left a review about being disappointed with my experience here. Yesterday I got a reply from Handel’s with an apology and a note that this location has new owners. They invited me to give them another shot, so I did, and I’m happy I went back. The experience was much better this time, and I really appreciate the new owners cared enough to reach out and make it right!
