Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

We wanted to try a seafood meal while visiting and had a great time.

We ordered the Family Combo A:
2 Lobster Tails
1/2 lb clams
1 lb Snow Crab Legs
1/2 lb crawfish
1 lb shrimp
4 eggs
1/2 lb sausage
4 corn
1/2 lb black mussel
4 potato
Broccoli
Garlic Butter Sauce

It came in a giant steam bag and we at everything.
I wanted to do Cajun seasoning and regretted letting my group play it safe with garlic butter.

It fed 3 hungry people very well.

The Cajun chicken Alfredo was unfortunately not at all what one of our party was hoping for. They used a different cheese sauce and while more authentic Italian, it was a “do not order again”.

I recommend trying one of their combos for a family or small group. It was a fun experience!

I came in to eat w my daughter for her B day. She was craving Seafood boil. It was very well prepared and seasoned. We got the combo w mussels and shrimp flavorful and on point. Spent $56 not including the tip. It’s local in Layton and I will be Returning..

ERIN IS THE BEST! She is outgoing and had a smile the entire time. It’s always so fun to be able to joke around with your waitress and have a great dinner. I’d come back just for her

Great place to grab a bite and drink! Staff was incredibly courteous, helpful, and attentive. Look for Steve “Red”, he’ll be more than happy to do his job, along with the jobs of several others. Food is dang good and the tequila selection is even better.

Second time we’ve been to this place as we travel through town and I think that it’s gonna become our default stop when we’re in the area it’s fantastic and the food is fast and it’s just a fun time for everyone. Be warned though the style of food is a bit messy probably not best for the first date 🤣

The food is good. We really enjoyed the mozzarella sticks. We usually get a boil and it is always plenty of food. It is not cheap though, so plan on spending some money.

The food was very good! Good amount of food for the price and the service was amazing! Laura and Keenon served us, and they were very kind and helpful.

It's been three or four years since I was there, so I wanted to go again with four friends.
The food wasn't as good as I remember. Shrimp and clam Boil were just okay. My wife was not impressed with the etouffee. Sorry to say

Me and some friends went in Sunday to eat while everything was fine there, later that night we all ended up with food poisoning. The next day we are still so sick to where I had to call out of work because I just cannot get out of bed. We called the restaurant back and explained what is going on and we were told that more then likely it’s not food poisoning because it takes 8 hours to kick in but in reality food poisoning can start as early as 30min after eating. These servers shouldn’t give out medical advice without actually knowing. The lady who answered did not want to help us with our refund after me and my friends got food poisoning from their restaurant. It was just a horrible experience all around that caused us bad stomach pain and throwing up.

Decent food & place, but a little bit over priced compared to what’s similar and around. Customer service however is brutal. Very slow & took 10 minutes to even get a drink after being seated. Not the best first impression.

First time visiting and was pleasantly surprised. My crab meat salad was absolutely delicious and the coconut shrimp was crunchy just the way I like. Our servicer, Caressa, was welcoming and extremely attentive to our needs.
Highly recommended.
