Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food

Came here for lunch really craving it. Went though the drive thru and got a mini plate. When I got home to eat it I was completely skimped on the meat! And the nice was completely hard. Will not come here again!

I ordered catering 2 meat for 10 people and it cost me over $170 and. My mom who picked up was told the wrong items in order so she ordered more on top of it and spent another $70 + and for over $250+ we could barely feed 10 adults and five little kids.. I was under the impression it was 4 ounces of meat per person per side…. Now Keep in mind if you order the teriyaki steak it’s. Only 1.5 oz , they do not tell you that it’s a lot less Meat per person that they had I would not have ordered it!! They didn’t give us the right sauces And to be honest, I was very disappointed. The food was really good though, however, But the macaroni salad doesn’t taste the same When they make such a large portion!! I tried calling Ruthann who helped me set up the whole thing, I feel honest feedback helps make better improvements…and how do you fix something if you don’t know where you’ve gone wrong… so I let her know the mistakes that had happened as I was frustrated with this but kind on the phone and she told me A few different stories of people complaining that kind of sounded similar to mine and that she could pass it along to store!! Dismissing what I had said .. minimizing what had happened instead of listening!!! I’m not after anything here but an apology would have been nice! Like I said I do like the food but will never cater with these guys again!! And that’s a shame because my husband and kids are Hawaiian we eat here regularly!!!

I’ve been a long time customer of Mo Betah but the Layton store today pissed me off. I didn’t get the names but the girl that had a rainbow hair color that was weighing my steak was picking little tiny scraps off and I said I’d rather wait for fresh steak instead of small scrap pieces and she said sorry this is all we have. We don’t have any cooking at the moment. The steak I got was sitting in a tin half full of water. The steak was horrible one bite and it was disgusting. While checking out and paying I mentioned the same thing to the cashier and she said ya sorry we don’t have any being cooked right now. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had for a long time customer. I do know if asked they will and have always offered to cook fresh if it’s down to the scrap however these 2 individuals would not 10/23/2025 at 4:15-4:20 pm.

This place really needs some quality control. When they came years ago, for the first six months it was amazing, always fresh. We went there several times a week, sometimes more than once in the same day. It really was that good!

Since then, the chicken is dried up and old, clearly been under a heat lamp for a long time. Sure the sides like rice, macaroni etc are the same, but you go here and spend good money primarily on the main course, the meat!

We give it a chance about once a year to see if they've improved, and yep, not gonna waste money for another year.

The teriyaki chicken is always burnt at this layton location. I understand the difference between burnt and charred. Whenever I get home, I have to pick off the burnt bits since it tastes like ash in my mouth. I was so excited to have a location closer so we didnt have to go to bountiful, but the quality is disappointing. Even after being open for 3+ years and contacting mobettah directly, they haven't fixed the burnt issue. Everything else tastes great though! Always quick and friendly service and holding the cabbage for us!

They use a scale to “weight” the portions and still can’t get it right. Every time I come here to THIS specific location they’re always giving you less than what you pay for. She then proceeds to give you attitude if you kindly ask for more willing to pay for it and still gives you less than the correct amount. Last time I’ll be buying from this location. This is the 3rd and final time. Don’t go to this location!

Good food, service was ok could have been better with a couple little things, worked in fast food and know how stressful it is but little things go a huge way with me when giving service restaurants can always improve some things I feel like, walked in about 830pm , the ekolu plate if I spelled that right is suppose to have 3 rice choices and 1 Mac salad side with 3 meat choices. I recieved no rice but 3 servings of Mac salad which is fine but not correct. The menu states 3 rice servings, rice should have been given with ekolu meal. Mac salad is great but zero rice had me disappointed maybe I should have asked if they were out of rice? I'm willing to pay good prices for correct items. Also before I could say that I wanted katsu and kaluah the worker made me chuckle cause they said all the meats they didn't have available, and if worker would have waited to let me talk to order then the worker would have known and listened to what I wanted; they had the meats I did want so it wasn't even a problem just a courtesy thing to listen. Great food and good portions just small things. Thank you for the great portions! Meat is great just a ton of Mac hahaha.

I usually like this location but tonight when I got home and my son opened his meal there was barely any steak in the meal. I’ve tried calling the store 4 times and waited on hold for 5 min each time. Just for the line to hang up.

Best Hawaiian style I've had and very affordable.
