We weren't told that they added automatic gratuity for groups of a certain size until we were leaving. Don't mind automatic gratuity being added for big parties as I work in the service industry as well, though we usually do tell people before they start to order, not as we are giving the checks.

I love Tony's! It's a favorite of my family's and we go every year for my birthday. We always get the all-you-can eat, but I recommend the Samurai rolls and the Popper rolls!

Food is pretty good but service is horrible and restaurant isn’t very clean. Good luck getting a refill of drink and when you ask they say they’ll bring and never do. They take a very long time to bring out food also. Maybe they are too short staffed. It seems like they spend alot of time just talking to other employees. Would not recommend eating here if good service is a requirement for you.
Very rude customer service and poor quality of sushi, definitely a disappointment. The booths and bathrooms are always dirty. The place makes all other sushi restaurants look like 5 star restaurants sadly :(

I had an amazing sushi lunch at Tony's Sushi Bar in Layton, Utah today! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the rolls were crafted with precision and care. I tried the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Tony Special – both were bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The cozy atmosphere and quick service make it a must-visit spot for sushi lovers. Highly recommend this gem in Layton – I'll be back soon!

Tony’s was my spot for many years… I’ve been trying to give them chance after chance over the years and it’s just not a good option for sushi anymore. There are many other much better places around in the area to visit.
Highlights last Thursday for lunch at 1200 pm was a homeless man crawling on his knees back and forth to the bathroom with no shoes and ripped socks on. It was just so weird.
The younger waitress was nice but the whole lunch vibe is uninterested, and rushed.
The men’s bathroom looked clean, but somthing is growing in the wall or in the drain because it smells like something nearby is rotten. It’s just that weird gross smell, hard to explain. This smell has been the same for a few months now.
I got two rolls, a Fugi which tasted like very old crab and mushy cucumber. The other roll was the Zion, salmon just tasted ok, over sauced to the extreme.
Sorry Tony’s crew, but Covid is not an excuse any more, and I can stand on my opinion after over 50 patronages over the years. It’s probably closer to 100…
Unless you see a big change here, absolutely avoid.

Placed a to go order with Gina and she was so accommodating and helpful with our allergy specifications. She helped us make sure everything we were ordering was not going to have cross contamination or contain our allergies. Such a relief knowing they care enough to make that a priority. We will be eating here again!
