One of the few real Mexican restaurants in Utah. Love the homemade tortilla and salsa bar is excellent. Also, love the hand sanitizer on the salsa bar!

The Meat had a sour taste and you could tell it was old. The tables were dirty so we had to clean them ourselves and even though they seen us cleaning they didn't bother to come and do it themselves and one of the staff had a bitter face which ruined the atmosphere.

Came here for the first time today! I got the chorizo and the pastor tacos which are my go to anytime I get street tacos. The meat, tortillas, and salsas were all really good. I would definitely come here again next time I’m in the area. My only criticism is that the food took awhile and it didn’t seem too busy so I’m not sure if that’s normal or not but the food was good so it didn’t matter since I wasn’t in a hurry but just a heads up for anyone who might need a quicker lunch.

Food was okay, but I wouldn't seek it out again. They didn't have ice for their soda machine, so that was a let down, especially in summer heat. Played really annoying neo-samba music. I probably won't be back.

Ordered fajitas, meat was overcooked/ dry, most of the veggies on the platter burnt. Not many people in the restaurant. Overpriced for bad quality. Will not be returning unless it’s a taco Tuesday, possibly.

We came and got the fish taco, carne asada taco, carne asada combo, horchata, and mango pina. I loved the fish taco it had a good flavor and the batter wasn’t overly thick on the fish. The carne asada taco was also very good the meat was a little dry but still good. The mango pina was good but towards the end I was getting more chucks which are not my favorite. The carne asada combo had cactus that was fun to try and over all was good. Only down fall was one end was tough and had a some fat and tendon pieces in it. The refried beans had more of an earthy taste which was really good. The horchata was amazing. We also tried the gabacha salsa was yummy. We also tried the tomatillo sauce had a light kick to it. The habanero sauce had a stronger kick but was good. Overall really enjoyed coming and eating here. The staff were amazing and cheerful. We would come back to try something new next time.

I’ve been coming here ever since they were at their old location. The tacos Al pastor Are a heavenly experience! It’s one of those “close your eyes, and thank the heavens you’re tasting something so good” moments. Forrest Gump said it best, “I could eat about a million and half of these”

Walked up at 9 pm and they were already closed however the close time on the door was 9:30. Asked one of the workers and they were irritated that I asked them about it. On top of that a handicapped sign in front of this location almost fell on my son. Won’t be going here anytime soon

My wife and I have been on a five year mission to find the best street tacos in Utah and Arizona. So far, no restaurant comes close to El Mexiquense. Their pastor and shrimp tacos are by far the best street tacos we have ever had.

First time going I had (3) Asada tacos and (2) pastor tacos. They were amazing! The flavor was spot on. Everything tasted fresh. They make their tortillas in house too which is nice. I will be coming back to this spot for sure. They have so many other options besides tacos as well.
