Most of these reviews were unbelievable so we had to check out the place. Right when we walked in we didn’t feel welcome. Nobody greeted us until they noticed we were standing at the front for awhile. When our waiter got to us, she asked how she could help us and she was very unfriendly about it. They weren’t even busy too.We sat down and ordered food. We ordered 3 sushi rolls, 2 regular ramen, and 2 hot ramen. Our food took awhile to come out for them not being busy at all. The ramen/broth was not flavorful. The egg was cold inside. We couldn’t finish it. The sushi was alright. We didn’t like the red caterpillar because it came with the sweet and sour sauce. Who eats sushi with sweet and sour sauce? That really threw us off.This place was clean but the service was not the best. You could tell she didn’t want to be there. Our drinks were never once refilled. Food isn’t authentic. We won’t be coming back.

I’m honestly very sad about this place. I know some days bad and some days good but I think the services can definitely be improve same with kitchen. The place was definitely decently pack which gave me excitement for first time visit. The place was not absolutely full but I can see that some folks had already eaten, while some waited for over 40 minutes for sure on some items as I observed. After sitting down for about 10 minutes, no water was given. We had 1 appetizer and 3 rolls, food delivered time , I think I was reasonable but it did took a very long time, ( 2 sushi chefs, 2 kitchen helper & 2 servers ). The services was ok, I don’t think their moto was customer services or attentions but very bare minimum of take order deliver food and quick check out. The place was pretty dirty as they left it unattended after majority of customer had left. However some sushi rolls tasted fresh but I don’t think it’s authentic when one of the roll incorporated with sweet chili sauce.

Went and tried a new ramen place with @mikementally tonight. The restaurant has a great open location and prime location. We both got the brisket gyoza and Fat Boy ramen. The food came really quickly. The ground brisket was very well seasoned. The gyoza were just a bit smaller than I imagined. The Fat Boy ramen, now looking back and thinking about what was supposed to be in the ramen, it was missing the fish cake. I guess I can't be disappointed since I forgot about it during that time, but it was still missing. For the price, I was expecting a much larger bowl of ramen. It was a slightly taller bowl than what other places use, but the lower part of the bowl is very narrow so kind of deceiving size wise. The broth was done really well and tasty. The 2 pieces of chashu were thin-ish, the 2 soft boiled eggs were good, and the 3 fried gyoza were pretty good. The cabbage was a nice touch for some veggie crunch with your noodles. For a name Fat Boy dish that is quoted for people that were really hungry, was kind of a small bowl of ramen. Great little place. Fantastic service with friendly staff. They were attentive but not too on top of us. Got a half plate of tuna nachos they were surprisingly a great dish. Wasn't too pricy. The food came out quickly and tasted delicious!

Such a neat place for sushi and ramen. We tried the Brisket Gyoza. I took a picture of the empty plate after I realized I forgot to take a picture of it. It was a delicious appetizer.There's a picture of 2 pork gyozas for reference.Great food, great atmosphere and nice price point. Highly recommend this place.

Sobo Sushi and Ramen provides a Japanese and Peruvian fusion menu. Our dinner was flavorful with beautiful presentation. The children's California roll was the perfect size for my six year old. The Sunset roll is a light, refreshing roll perfect for summertime. I ordered the Exec with shrimp tempura, avocado, jalapeño, tuna on top, thinnly sliced lime, cilantro, eel sauce, and Sriracha. It is one of the best rolls I've ever had.

The Hot Miso was awesome! Level 2 heat was a tad weak for my taste but super good still! I also had the Peruvian sushi roll and it also was very good. Lunch was not crazy and we were seated immediately

If you are looking for a great sushi place, I totally recommend Sobo! We went there for my wife's birthday. The service was amazing and the food excellent.We ordered the Sunset and Executive rolls and the pork Ramen. Usually, I love dipping the ginger in soy sauce and adding to each bite of my sushi. I know, for.many this is considered a sushi crime haha, but I love it. However, at Sobo the rolls tasted so fresh and had such great flavor I quickly abandoned my normal ginger addition.The staff waived to us as we left and wished us a great night. We will definitely be back!

This is good sushi for Utah! I didn’t try the ramen but my friends did and they liked it as well.The sushi was fairly priced for its quality. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh the ingredients tasted. None of it tasted bad and fishy.The rolls were also creative and I loved the combinations. One that I tried was the dragon and it was great.While I will say this is good sushi for Utah standards, it is still Americanized compared to authentic Japanese sushi.The service was also great.
Oh wow this place is bomb!!!! The Brisket Gyozas are next level!!! Super crispy on the bottom and full brisket flavor in the filling!!! Definitely a winner!!! The Executive roll is on point!!! I have got to say this is a little gem that I will continue to come back and enjoy the food. I really want to try the Brisket Ramen!!! Next time!!!

A quick review of the menu led to Chicken Ramen for my wife and upon the recommendation from our server, I got the popular Tonkotsu Ramen. We also ordered the Tarantula sushi roll.This was my first time eating ramen so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I was blown away. The pork was perfectly seasoned and tender.Our dining experience was fantastic and we can't wait till our next visit.

Sobo Sushi was good! We ordered DoorDash and everything was tasty. We ordered five different rolls, edamame, and steak entree. All of the rolls were very flavorful, but they were a little small. They did taste better than your local “everything’s half off” sushi place, but not a ton better and they were smaller and more expensive. The steak entree was delicious but I can’t find it on their menu now. If you’re in the area and wanting sushi, it’s a good option, just a little pricey for what you get.

I got take-out for the first time last week, and it was so good I went back three days later! I ordered the Hot Miso Ramen (Level-2) and loved it. The portion size was nice and large, and I loved the choice to use spicy ground sausage in place of the Chashu. The broth is rich and spicy enough that you notice the whole time. One small critique is that it does need a little more broth, but other than that, SUPER GOOD. This is now in my regular rotation for eating out.
