This place is horrible and downright dishonest. They automatically charge an 18% tip no matter the party size. I didn’t notice they had already added a tip, so I wrote in a $15 tip. Then I noticed the tip was already on there, so I scribbled out my tip completely. This morning, when the charge went through, it looks like they added a $10 tip… ON TOP OF already charging 18% automatically. The staff was rude and made us wait and wait. The salads had an inch of water at the bottom of the bowls and very little dressing. When the chef finally came out, he was terrible. We’ve been to hibachi restaurants a lot and have been to this location many times in the past. This time, when he did the initial fire trick, it was massive and almost burnt our faces. He burnt the eggs and over-seasoned the rice. He kept letting the vegetables mix with the raw chicken on the grill. Some of the rice fell into the grease trap; he just pulled it back out and mixed it in with the rest of the rice. We ordered filet mignon, and it was very dry and overcooked. At the end, when he was cleaning the grill, the soapy water went all over the table where our food was. We ordered extra fried rice, and he forgot it and gave the extra rice to one of the customers at our table. Then, to cap off the horrible experience, we had to wait 20 minutes for our checks. This place used to be pretty good, but it has gone WAY downhill.

This is my 5th time going to this location and it has been amazing every time. We decided to bring all the kids with us and they all found something they liked. Even my picky eater. And by picky I mean only eats pb and j and chicken nuggets. He liked the chicken BTW. :)
The staff are also friendly and attentive and the hibachi chefs are so talented. They put on a show and are a joy to watch.
Portions are huge for me. My 11 yr old and I split a meal. I love this place and will recommend to everyone :)

10 outta 10 would definitely recommend. Service was great and the food was really really good. Fun experience getting to watch you food get prepared in front of you, get a table reserved and then you dont even have to wait for a table to be seated. Soup and salad before the meal was also excellent.

The staff here was rude and terrible. There was not a hostess and no one helped the line of people that was going out the door. When we asked a waitress questions she was rude and unkind. We ended up leaving after waiting 20 minutes. I would NOT recommend this location at all.

The chef was amazing, but if you want a to-go box or refills on water, plan on waiting around for an hour.

I can’t even give a one star review on the food because we never even got service. It took forever for the hostess to come and greet us and seat us, we sat there for 20 minutes at a full table and no one came to ask us if we wanted water or take our order or anything. We finally got up and walked out. It was a Thursday night at 6:30 and the restaurant was not even half full and as we sat at the table waiting for the service that we never got it felt dirty and very unclean in there. So disappointing because we were waiting for yummy Teppanyaki food, but we will never ever visit the Lehi, Utah location again. Thank god Texas Roadhouse was close.

I’ve tried this place twice now and both times have been disappointing. The first time my food was super salty and I couldn’t eat it. The second time I had the sushi, and it was mid. Not worth the price. The service is crap though. We didn’t get the drinks we ordered until after we were done eating. We asked 3 times for our drinks before they finally brought them out. We ran out of water and they never came back to refill our cups. The experience is not worth the price.

I’m genuinely disappointed to leave this review because I know not all teppanyaki restaurants are like this, but our experience tonight was extremely poor.
We had a reservation at 6:00pm for a party of four, yet we were repeatedly seated at tables that clearly only fit three people. When I politely requested different seating, we were told we would have to wait, which we were completely fine with — but we ended up waiting for an hour.
During that time, we had to ask for water, and the server acknowledged us but didn’t return for about 20 minutes. It felt as though they were frustrated with us simply for asking for proper seating, and it seemed to affect the level of service we received. Another staff member eventually brought us water, soup, and salad, which we appreciated, but service continued to feel disorganized and dismissive.
Once seated, we were never given menus until we asked multiple times, and each request appeared to irritate the staff. When ordering, we had to ask again for sushi menus, and the reaction remained the same.
Drink service was also concerning — all drinks from multiple guests were taken away at once for refills, and we had no way of knowing whose cup belonged to who. Even more alarming, we witnessed a used water cup from another table being reused to refill waters.
When we received the bill, we were charged for soup and salad that were brought before we even ordered, and again, the request to correct it was met with annoyance.
Overall, we were there for about two hours and felt ignored, dismissed, and treated with frustration rather than hospitality. I truly hope management will address customer service, staffing, and sanitation concerns, because the experience did not reflect what a teppanyaki restaurant should be. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location.

Extremely Disappointing Experience
My group of four had a reservation for 6:00pm on a Saturday night, and the experience was downhill from the moment we arrived. They initially tried to seat us in the corner of a table next to a very large family, which wasn’t going to work, so we politely asked for a larger space. The lady working simply pointed at another table, so we walked over and seated ourselves.
From there, we waited an entire hour just to get drinks and menus. We kept trying to wave someone down because we were hot and thirsty, but no one helped us. It wasn’t until another couple sat themselves next to us (after also being pointed to a table) that we were finally given water, soup, and salad—still with no menus.
When the lady came over to take our order, we explained again that we didn’t have menus and had no clue what to order. She made an annoyed face and walked away. We continued waiting, and only after the sweet couple next to us offered to share their menus did she bring more—ironically, more than we even needed. My friend asked twice for a sushi menu, which she repeatedly forgot, and then she seemed annoyed that we weren’t ready to order.
When we finally were able to order, we waited another 15–20 minutes for a cook. The cook was not sociable or interactive at all—nothing like the fun hibachi experiences I’ve had before. Our orders got mixed up, and the portions were noticeably smaller than they have been in the past.
On top of that, we had issues with the checks because they showed soup and salad weren’t included, even though they were brought out before we ever ordered.
One of the most concerning moments was watching the lady take the straws out of the couple’s drinks and two of my friends’ drinks, refill their cups, and then put the straws back in without even knowing which straw belonged to who. At one point, she also came between me and my friend and poured water into our cups using a random glass—not a pitcher—which makes me worried she used someone else’s cup from another table.
Throughout the night, we watched multiple groups waiting long periods of time, the restaurant didn’t seem clean, and the service overall was incredibly unorganized and careless. To finish it off, we still had to tip despite how terrible the service was.
I will say the food itself was good, but everything else about this experience was awful. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on the service and sanitation issues alone.
