They were definitely short in help. 2 people doing it all, cooking, serving, etc at lunchtime. It took 40 minutes to get our food and we never got the drink refills that we asked for. Food tasted good, but portions were smaller than other Mexican restaurants in Cache Valley. Not a good choice unless you have more than an hour for lunch. Chips and Salsa not included, like similar restaurants.

I have been wanting to take my family here for a while now.so it went like this, walked in one Sunday and asked if I could take the menu home and they let me . I had a week to review it. For as Mexican restaurant they don't know the slightest idea what green chili is. ordered a smoothed burrito they were not kidding the sauce looked horrible tasted horrible chicken was nasty or what ever it was. Be honest I took two bites sent it back waitress asked if I wanted something else no way was I going to eat any more food, the beans were so runny that it looked like bean puree, rice was dry, I asked for guacamole and I got avocado smashed in a ramekin dish. and that's not the half of it, my wife asked for huevos rancheros and they came back and said they had no eggs. so she asked for a bean and cheese smoothed burrito and she got this sloppy mess on her plate that was all covered in some kind of white sauce . my kids chicken fingers were over cooked. no beer license Wow why have beer taps. I do have to say the ceviche tostada was good and the Pepsi. spent $80.00 there. you now what I don't like taco bell but they are way better and they don't even know what Mexican food is. this place should stop advertising Mexican and start advertising MEXICANT FOOD. you all want to eat MEXICANT food go there .but beware. WHERE IS PANCHO MAYBE HE KNOWS HOW TO COOK REAL MEXICAN FOOD.. PANCHO PLEASE COME BACK TO YOUR HOME..

Be carefulThey charge you the tip without even knowing if you pay with your card after leaving cash on the tableI only spoke to them to tell them and until now the manager has not returned my call after he said he would talk to me to resolve that problem.I'm not the only person in thisI repeat, if you pay with your card, they do not tell you anything, they automatically charge you the tip. After leaving cash on the tableThis way you will lose clientele

Our food was so salty! They should change the name to Salt Mexican Grill. Also, save your time and skip on the chips and queso.

The food was delicious! The entire table was satisfied with their food. Please be aware of staff shortages, the food will take time to prepare.
If you read the reviews of Pancho’s from before May-Jun 2023, you should know it changed owners and the reviews are for the previous restaurant in the same place. The new owner kept the name and menu, but the food is different and so much less than the prior owner. They have also lost their liquor license. But the worst part is the place isn’t clean. The restrooms are filthy and cost me my appetite. There were only 2 tables, including ours, having lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I was embarrassed at recommending the restaurant to my friends. We won’t be back, nor will we visit the owner’s other restaurant, Tacos el Robert.

Went to lunch there. Only 5 tables had people. Waited 15 minutes before anyone asked if we needed a table. Waitress led us to the table and tossed down the menus without saying anything. Walked off.. came back 10 minutes later for our drink order. We told her we were ready to order. She only would talk our drink order. We both ask for Water. After waiting another 10 minutes for our drink order .. we got up and walked out.Way to slow for a weekday lunch spot.

Food was great. Service was a little slow. There’s a new menu for Roberto’s. Authentic Mexican food. I’m sure they will need to adjust the portion or pricing. Because it was a lot of seafood! I had the Tostada Especial. I couldn’t eat it all.

I would normally prefer to approach my culinary criticisms with a fair balance, but I'm afraid that, after my recent experience at Ponchos, this will prove a considerable challenge. It's not a light task to convey the sheer magnitude of disappointment and disillusionment that washed over me as I waded through what could be the most egregiously dismal dining experience of my lifetime.First, let's start with the ambiance, or more appropriately, the lack thereof. It's as if the staff collectively forgot the importance of an inviting atmosphere for their clientele. The lighting was a misjudged hue of clinical harshness, leaving me feeling like I was about to undergo an operation rather than indulge in a meal. The decor, seemingly more suited to a dated thrift store, provided no relief to the aesthetic assault. The service was equally disheartening. Our waiter seemed to suffer from chronic amnesia, forgetting our orders and generally providing an experience reminiscent of a one-star roadside inn, rather than a restaurant boasting a hefty price tag. Every request was met with a lethargic nonchalance that bordered on dismissive, making the meal a test of patience rather than an enjoyable affair. But the crowning jewel of the ordeal, without question, was the food - or what Ponchos audaciously dares to label as such. A salad that tasted suspiciously like it was assembled days ago and had been waiting for a hapless victim. Tacos that had the structural integrity of a damp napkin and the flavor profile of cardboard. The main course was a purported 'specialty' dish that seemed special only in its ability to be uniquely unappetizing. The meat, overcooked to the point of rubbery, bore the texture of an old shoe, and the accompanying vegetables were so undercooked, they could've taken a stroll out of the plate and back to the farm.Desert, supposedly the saving grace of many meals, was a churro so insipid, it had the audacity to taste like deep-fried sand. As I chewed on it, I found myself longing for the simplicity of unsweetened oatmeal, for even that would have offered a more pleasant and flavorful conclusion to this gastronomic disaster. In sum, my experience at Ponchos was an exercise in culinary frustration, an unforgivable series of gastronomic blunders that I would not wish upon my most taste-deprived enemies. The audacity to present such an ordeal under the guise of a 'dining experience' leaves me aghast. Suffice to say, I will not be returning to Ponchos, and I urge others to save themselves the time, money, and above all, the precious tastebuds that such an establishment seems hell-bent on punishing.
