While in Logan I went to Jitters DAILY for their Jitters Zombie. I LOVE the Jitters Zombie drink so much that I immediately bought an espresso machine and all the fixin's to make my own at home until I can travel back across the country to get another one from them!
I grew up eating Utah Spudnuts back in the late 70s and early 80s. I can tell you that the proprietors successfully obtained the recipes! They taste exactly like I remember. My family enjoyed a dozen glazed and a dozen assorted ranging from the incredible chocolate cake donuts to the fabulous Raspberry Bavarian Maple. Frankly, if I had a half-mill floating around, I'd be negotiating with these people for the rights to my state as a franchise territory.
Absolutely love being able to support such a great local business! They are always incredibly friendly and the drinks are always delicious. My personal favorite is the white zombie mocha!
I'll update after I try the coffee but the drive thru was terrible...20minutes for 3 cars
Good coffee and donuts, very nice atmosphere, the consistency of their drinks needs work (they aren't the same every time, sometimes really good sometimes eh)
We were overjoyed to see a Spudnuts shop on our recent visit to Logan, Utah. We made a U-turn when we saw their sign. They had a good selection of types and flavors of these unconventional potato based delights. This store is very clean and staff was courteous and polite. I wish they would make their way to Tulsa, OK.
The last two times I have been in they have not had any selection. The first time they didn’t even have plain glazed! What’s the point in opening at 6:00 am when you don’t have donuts available and you claim to be a donut store. I’m done. Will get my donut fix some where else.
Supported the local Jitters coffee shop this morning by grabbing 2 large hot mochas with whip cream. They are absolutely delicious! The perfect coffee for a road trip! Highly recommend!
Sadly this excellent donut shop doesn't have servers wearing face masks! This despite the fact that Utah has had consecutive days of record new infections. And the server only intermittently wore gloves. Why an establishment that handles food directly wouldn't be more compliant with the health concerns of their customers is beyond me.
I am so glad they re-opened in Johnny O's. Best coffee in town. Great place to stop before work! Thank you for having a drive thru so I don't have to settle for chain coffee when i'm in a hurry!

Sad they are no longer
This place re-opened with the old recipe from a restaurant that closed it many years ago. I remember driving to high school every morning and stopping there to have a spud nuts and a cup of coffee or chocolate. I can remember 60 years ago my parents taking me to the spud nuts. It was a real treat and continues to be the same today. You need to try it when you’re in town. You will not be disappointed.
Love a good donut. Who doesn’t. I have been a doughnut lover all my life and have never eaten donuts as good as Johnny O’s. They have multiple varieties and believe it or not they have a potato base. Several years ago Dunkin’ Donuts opened a franchise in Logan. I’m one occasion I had the opportunity of tasting donuts from both places at the same time. The Johnny O. donuts tasted so much better. The Dunkin’ Donuts tasted greasy. A few months after opening Dunkin’ Donuts closed its franchise for lack of business. A taste of Johnny O’s would explain why.
This is your basic donut place, but a cut above certain national chains in terms of the quality of their product. I find these potato-flour based donuts a little less greasy, more toothsome, and less over sweetened than chain or grocery store versions. They have lots of options, plain to fancy, and reasonable pricing. I always get them to go by the dozen when I’m treating my coworkers. Quick service, especially on early-morning visits!
I was in Logan over the weekend and was craving a good coffee. I stopped into Johnny O's (not knowing exactly what a spudnut was) and was delighted to see all of the different kinds of delicious treats. I had the vanilla coconut spudnut and my boyfriend had the one with fruity pebbles on top. I've never had a spudnut before, but I will be back. The coffee is really good too. I would recommend this cute shop for anyone looking for a unique treat in a fun atmosphere.
