They recently moved to a new location further south. The new restaurant is pretty modern, and looked clean enough. They cleared our table of the dishes that were there but didn't wipe it down. We did have to swap one of our spoons for a cleaner one when we unwrapped our silverware. The food was exactly what you'd expect from a local Chinese place. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The honey walnut chicken that I got was good, and we did enjoy the egg rolls. The salad that comes with the lunch meal definitely comes straight from a bag, so maybe shoot for the salad. I would have liked to see more rice with the chicken, but maybe thats just the gym bro in me talking.

If an entree has certain items in its title, it should be a prominent portion of the dish. For example: cashew nut chicken should have a good serving of cashews. Honey walnut shrimp should definitely have more than 3 walnuts. And the black mushroom beef should have more than 1 singular mushroom in the dish. Very disappointing.

Went here with a group of 8. Server with the hat was not a good server. Messed up multiple orders, wasn't friendly at all, looked at us like we were stupid when brought out the wrong orders (3 orders), never came by for refills. One of the orders he brought out a dish (picture) that was completely different from the red chicken Curry I had ordered. He put it down in front of me, I looked at it and said \\\"Is this the Red Chicken Curry?\\\" He said \\\"No, we're out. This is the Chicken *something I don't remember*\\\" and then left. Okay. I took a few bites and it was really gross and looks like a plate of puke. Don't know why I didn't have a choice in what I got if what I ordered was out and why I wasn't let known it was out? Definitely not coming back after this service. The other dishes tasted good though!

Tasty Cuisine, but Service and Seating ConfusionRating: 3.5 out of 5 starsDuring a recent visit to a Chinese restaurant, my experience was a mix of highs and lows. While the food itself was delicious and served promptly, there were a few aspects that left something to be desired.Upon entering the restaurant, the first challenge we encountered was the lack of clarity regarding seating arrangements. The presence of a long line extending to the door created confusion as it turned out to be for online orders rather than for dine-in customers. There was no clear direction or communication from the staff to guide us on whether to wait in line, wait to be seated, or seat ourselves. This lack of organization resulted in a somewhat chaotic and disorienting start to our dining experience. One particular disappointment was the limited availability of wonton soup. I was informed that it was only served in the mornings, which was unexpected. I was it left us longing for a dish that we had been looking forward to enjoying.Despite these initial setbacks, the quality of the food itself was commendable. The dishes we ordered were prepared fresh, steaming hot, and bursting with flavor. The flavors were authentic and well-balanced, leaving us satisfied and appreciative of the culinary expertise demonstrated in the kitchen. On the downside, the service from our waitress was lacking. She never checked on us or inquired about our dining experience, which left us feeling neglected. Additionally, refills were not offered. In conclusion, while the food at this Chinese restaurant was undoubtedly delicious and served with great care, there were notable areas for improvement. The confusion surrounding seating arrangements upon arrival and the limited availability of certain dishes, like the wonton soup, were disappointing. Furthermore, the lack of attentiveness from the waitress, along with the absence of refills, impacted the overall dining experience. Despite these drawbacks, the flavors of the food were exceptional, which may warrant a visit for those seeking a tasty Chinese meal.

I’ve loved this restaurant for decades. It’s one of the few Chinese places that haven’t loaded all of their dishes with celery and green pepper. They seem busy in their new location, which is great! I’ve lived in a lot of states, but this is what I grew up on and it’s my benchmark. The wontons are excellent, and well priced, and the cashew nut chicken is a favorite of mine. I had my first date there with my husband so it’ll always be a special place!

The food is great. But not worth the horrible customer service! They do not know how to accommodate customers when they are busy. I have had 2 experiences where I have waited over an hour after I have paid before my order was ready for carry out. I won't be back!

The dinner menu changed you only get white rice with most options. I had to order noodles and fried rice separately and it is overpriced. I had lemon chicken. It had absolutely no flavor and there was more breading than chicken. My family is choosing Royal Express and Panda from now on.

New location is not as good for a semi private dining. Large group waiting to eat, felt like I was being watched the whole time we ate.

Wish they never moved locations. The seating is crowded. There is no host stand so you have to wait in the to go order line to get seated. The food isn't as delicious either. Miss the old Mandarin Garden, unfortunately I don't want to come back.

Tiny spicy chicken is good, and the General chicken is good. But this last time was kind of ridiculous. We received our fried rice separately from our meats and it looked fine. I dished some on to my plate and as I did I could smell mold…the rice just smelled bad. My mom used to own a restaurant and I grew up eating rice almost everyday. I knew the rice was bad and asked my wife and sister to confirm which they did. We let our server know and handed her the half empty bowl because I had dished the other half on my plate. She took it to the back and then a manager brought the same bowl back and said “it’s okay, it’s not bad”. I let him know that I have experience with rice and I know it’s bad. He argued with me and said I just watched him make this.. I replied to him and said I have a lot of experience with rice and this is not good and these 2 confirmed. It smells bad and we tasted it .. it’s bad. He gave me an odd look like I didn’t know what I was talkin about. Before I could get even more frustrated my sister said “it’s fine just leave it.” And that made the manager happy and he walked away.I love chicken and rice ..NOT chicken and bad rice. It was so odd that we sent the bowl back and they just sent it back to us. ??Do not go! Or order meats only and make your rice at home. The last time I went and the rice was burned and tasted like it was burned. Also the server never came for drinks so I just walked up to the counter for every refill we needed.

I have loved eating Mandarin food for 30 something years . The food is great. On Friday Dec. 8 I picked up lunch for my wife like I done every Fri. for most of our married lives. I took my her food and left so I could get back to work. I found out late that night wife didn't get rice or egg roll in her lunch. i went in on Monday to get her a new lunch special and was told I was a liar! I love Mandarin food but will never taste it again.

I don't know if it was because I had my expectations high because of the old place but this place was not that great. Not bad, just sort of middle of the road. The egg rolls were pretty good but that was about it. Not a lot of seating, pretty busy but they were quick and got us through fairly fast.
