Stopped in for lunch while staying at nearby campground for a few days. Pros: Large portions, tasted great. Hard working waitress. Fries were especially tasty.Neutral: A little pricey (but large portions). Only one waitress on staff for several tables (but she hustled). Interior a little run down, not unexpected for a rural small town.Cons: Flies. Not infested or unsanitary, but noticeable.

Several people have commented about the flies, they’re right. However, the restaurant was short staffed but the staff hustled, worked hard, was friendly, and I had the most excellent jalapeño bacon cheeseburger. Thank you staff for the wonderful service and food.

Awesome! Grabbed a burger on my way through Manila. It was absolutely delicious. As were the cheese fries. Top that off with a fountain coke and you've got a great post camping meal. Lots of cool decor and a local vibe. Definitely recommend stopping by! I will absolutely be back next time I pass through!

The flys were horrible. We were unable to enjoy our dinner. The restaurant seemed like it needed a good cleaning. They are often out of items on the menu.Good service and food. However, we will not return.

Another "nothing to write home about" restaurant with inconsistent hours - at least from the info in our hotel room. They're only open in the afternoon as far as we could tell. It took quite awhile for our food to come and when it did it was not piping hot. I think my 8 medium sized onion rings must have sat waiting for awhile. The French fries were great! Yay! Burgers were ok, lime Ricky was ok. Prices reasonable. What I think is sad about Manila restaurants is that they have so much potential and could be great! We sat in a booth with a window that had a plastic water bottle on the window sill containing a clear brown liquid (resembling diluted tea) that was placed there (we're assuming) to capture flies. There were six or eight dead flies in the liquid and one or two living ones who were trying to get out. Then there were another dozen flies swarming around the window sill where I was sitting, so it felt "buggy." Yuck! And the window sill was a little sticky- I know because I tried to rest my elbow there... ick! The atmosphere was down homey and rustic with a very country feel. The wait staff didn't seem real happy to be there, but who knows! I just know that there's not a lot to choose from in Manila, and this place has a lot of potential. The fly problem is an easy fix. Clean clean clean and then kill the flies and clean clean clean some more. It's doable! I know it's a small town but this place could be the best with a little more umph!
We stop here every year on our way home from our family boating trip. The service has always been great and the food is good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend their burgers and tater tots, that is my go-to order every year. If you get the chance I definitely recommend stopping by and trying the food.

Food was fine but hard to enjoy with multiple flies landing on you and crawling around the table most of the meal. I can't remember the last time I ate at a restaurant that had such trouble with flies. Outside, I could understand, but this was inside.
