It's the only one in the area so they charge large large large prices the food is mediocre the service is mediocre save yourself the headache by advanced planning not to go to this place. It's definitely a tourist trap

Great steak! We were staying at Hat Rock Inn and they recommended this place for food. Still Steaks is little oasis of beer and meat after a hot day of exploring Monument Valley. It is rustic and pleasant. The menu is limited - probably not a great spot for a vegetarian - but if you like steak you’re in for a treat. Beautifully grilled meat and fast and friendly service. We walked, but there appeared to be lots of parking. Would eat there again!

My son and were here in Sept 22 and on a big Road Trip through West US. This was before I started getting into Google Reviews and it was known as Swingin Steaks then. We loved it. The host/chef was full of character and energy and the steak and accompaniments eaten outside was a real experience. The steak was perfectly cooked. A very satisfying meal indeed.

Soooooooo, my wife suggested this place, and I was VERY skeptical. I'm one of those who doesn't like steak at restaurants because I think mine is always better. Anyway, she proved me wrong. The place was packed, and the food was excellent.

Steaks were all ordered medium rare but arrived almost cooked through. But it was delicious so far.
Beans weren't great and the meat was quite small for the price ($30).

Wouldn't go here again.

The pics of the "lodge", including the the building and the rooms and the restaurant, look nothing like they do when you arrive after a long day of driving across Utah. And a whopping $175 a night to stay? And, although they claim to open 24/7, there is only someone available at the front desk from 6pm to 9pm. After that, you have to call a number and hope someone answers. We were greeted, in the parking area for the guests, by broken lighting, outdated solar lighting, brittle plastic chairs, filled ashtrays on old rusty wire tables, garbage cans overflowing with garbage, an outdoor ice machine under a yellow bug light bulb covered in webs and dead bugs, random screen doors hanging open, children's toys laying around, deflated inner tubes tossed under the dilapidated set of stairs, and a fresh unopened box of condoms! Yep, condoms! Which they seemed to feel wasn't any kind of problem when we asked for our money back. The "lodge" did, however, provide a muffin and a small bottle of water for each of us in the refrigerator for breakfast. When something seems too good to be true, it never is. The best we could have left there with if we had spent the night in Room 4 (personally cleaned by the woman at the front desk) would possibly be bedbugs and a treatable STD. We were most concerned about our personal vehicle or room being broken into since there was no one there on duty after 9pm. And the restaurant that is advertised throughout the lobby is no longer "Swingin' Steak", but something else like it...they just didn't feel the need to change any of the signs. Trust me! Drive the extra 30 miles and stay in a hotel in Arizona where the rooms are less expensive, better, and have amenities like a and clean working outdoor pool, free breakfast, secure parking, and staff on site 24/7! And getting a refund was a task. We were laughed at and belittled for having issues with staying there and the condition of the property! Gaslighting would be the best way to describe the experience of attempting to get our money back! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Very pleasant little restaurant. Very simple but effective card. We eat well and quickly. The meat is cooked in front of you on the barbecue. Ideal as a stopover before exploring Monument Valley.

Good food, but a little too expensive (cause it’s the only one in the area)

Excellent dish
But the swing where the famous meat cooks must be broken ?
They imposed a mandatory $25 tip on the bill + $10 tax

Wehad an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant. The meat was cooked to perfection—tender and flavorful. The bread was excellent, fresh, and perfectly baked. The staff was incredibly courteous, making us feel welcome throughout the meal. The salad was dressed simply yet perfectly, offering a healthy and delicious option that complemented the rest of the meal. The prices were also very reasonable, in line with the average for the country. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service at a fair price

On a quick weekend trip with my son, we loved everything about the place, but it’s not cheap. I get it. It’s quite remote and I don’t think it’s open year around. I doubt I’ll be fretting over the price in my last minute on earth. Best memories . Best to enjoy it while we can.

Although there aren’t a lot of options, everything is absolutely delicious. The meat was very tender, and the bread was very yummy. I particularly recommend the sautéed mushrooms.

Made a special trip here with my daughter.. We are both big fans of a good rare steak. The swinging fire pit that they cooked on is what made us drive here from Ohio.. We spend the month of July out west each year and love southern Utah.. The older lady at the desk was super nice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only downer was the fire pit and steak swing was gone.. The main attraction that we came for had been replaced by 2 gas grills.. That was very disappointing.. The dinner and steak was good and I would rate our steaks a 5 out of 5.. The reason I gave a 4 star review was the fact that the swinging fire pit was gone..
