European Tastees Utah is hands down one of the best European grocery stores in Utah! The moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stepped into a true European market. The selection is incredible — fresh pastries, chocolates, cured meats, cheeses, snacks, and hard-to-find European products you can’t get anywhere else.
Everything is fresh, high quality, and beautifully displayed. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help or recommend something new. It’s clean, well-organized, and a joy to shop in every time.
If you’re looking for authentic European food, specialty groceries, or a unique shopping experience in Utah, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
European Tastees is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warm, authentic feel of a true European market. The selection is amazing — fresh pastries, delicious sweets, unique snacks, and hard-to-find European products you won’t see anywhere else. Everything is high quality and tastes incredible.
The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help or make recommendations. It feels less like shopping and more like a fun little European experience every time. This place quickly became one of my favorite stops, and I always leave with something new and delicious.
Highly recommend to anyone who loves European food or wants to try something special!
European Tastees is an interesting specialty grocery store with potential, but one that delivers an uneven overall experience.
The store carries a range of European food products that are not always easy to find elsewhere locally, including packaged goods, sweets, and imported staples. For someone specifically seeking Eastern or Central European items, there is value here, and browsing can occasionally turn up something worthwhile.
However, the selection feels inconsistent. Some categories are reasonably stocked, while others feel sparse or poorly organized, which makes the shopping experience feel more scattered than curated. It does not quite achieve the feeling of a reliable specialty market where you can confidently find what you are looking for.
Pricing tends to run high, even by import-store standards, and the value does not always feel justified by product variety or condition. A few items appeared dated or lacked clear pricing, which detracts from confidence as a shopper.
The store itself is functional but not particularly inviting. Organization and presentation could be improved, and the space feels more utilitarian than welcoming. Staff interaction was minimal and did not add much to the experience, though nothing was outright negative.
Overall, this is a place you might stop if you are already nearby and looking for a specific European product, but it is not a destination grocery store. It sits between useful and disappointing, offering just enough value to justify a visit in limited circumstances, but not enough to seek out intentionally.
A large and well stocked European market with canned/dry goods, bulk candy, frozen foods, small bakery selection and fresh deli meats and cheeses. Wow! The selection is great and staff is very friendly, even if you don’t speak other languages. The bulk candy and deli are my favorites.
Great place Nice people Huge variety of authentic fresh food products and shashlyk on Saturdays

Plenty of snacks and chocolates. I like the jams they sell!
Best selection of European foods in Utah!
My daughter loves the small, colorful, chicken pelmani they stock here as well as the myriad chocolates and breads. I always get tea, bubliki, pryaniki, pelmani, and their freshly baked piroshki.
Nothing beats the fresh piroshki that are baked in house (a smell which pleasantly greets you when you walk in). They taste exactly like my mom used to make them, which is a pleasant reminder of home. Every time I go, I make sure to get a few while paying at the counter.
They also stock all of the pickled goods your heart desires, cured meats, fresh cheeses, various kvass, grains and pasta, bread, fresh fruit and veggies, and frozen meals.
I also hear that they are expecting to expand into a sandwich shop soon, which I can’t wait to try!
Very wonderful employees!!!
Great people, Great service
One of my favorite stores to shop.
