Ah, Noodle Head in Salt Lake City! If you've never heard of it, imagine if a ramen shop and a quirky hipster café had a love child. That's Noodle Head.

I strolled in with the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas morning, ready to devour their famed pork belly ramen. The atmosphere was buzzing with a mix of chatter, laughter, and the occasional slurp that could rival a walrus in a soup-eating contest. The decor screamed, "We take our noodles seriously, but not ourselves."

The bowl arrived, and it was a sight to behold. The pork belly glistened with a seductive sheen, practically whispering, "Eat me, you know you want to." The noodles were perfectly nestled in a rich, savory broth that looked like it could cure any ailment from a hangover to a broken heart.

First bite, and I was hooked. The pork belly was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, which, let's be honest, is the ultimate goal for any meat. It was like butter, but better because it was pork. The noodles had the perfect chew – not too soft, not too hard – Goldilocks would have approved.

Now, the broth. Oh, the broth. If I could swim in it, I would. It was a harmonious blend of umami goodness with just the right amount of saltiness and depth. I’m convinced it was brewed by a wizard because it was pure magic.

As I continued my culinary adventure, I noticed the toppings – a perfectly soft-boiled egg, spring onions, and some mysterious crunchy bits that added an extra dimension of joy with every bite. It was like a party in my mouth, and everyone was invited.

Halfway through, I realized I was doing that embarrassing food-dance thing people do when they’re really enjoying their meal. You know, the one where you wiggle a bit and make involuntary happy noises. But hey, in a place like Noodle Head, I wasn’t alone – I spotted at least three other noodle enthusiasts doing the same.

By the end of the meal, I was in a ramen-induced state of bliss, already planning my next visit. If you’re in Salt Lake City and have a craving for some seriously stellar pork belly ramen, do yourself a favor and head to Noodle Head. Just be prepared to do the noodle dance – it’s inevitable.

Honestly was so skeptical and confused when reading "pastrami" as a part of the Drunken noodles dish... AND WAS I PROVEN SO VERY WRONG!! The combination of smoky pastrami with the grilled veggies and perfectly charred rice noodles made this my favorite Thai dish EVER!! I am so excited to revisit this place for many more meals to come, yum yum!

This now my favorite Asian food in SLC. Fantastic drunken noodles, Khao Soi, and Orange chicken. And the marinated cucumbers were incredible! The server was great with our toddler too :)

These people do not know how to make Asian food. Period. This place is just as bad as Ginger Street was which tells me it's time for this team to maybe move on from trying to make Asian cuisine their thing. If you're stuck at Millcreek Commons it's fine as an option but there are definitely several other authentic Asian restaurants with a 2 mile radius that are much better.

Tried this place on a whim and it did not disappoint. I have been to many many restaurants (fusion as well) in the slc area and this is actually a restaurant that I would return to again. I got the pork buns, chicken wings, and drunken noodles. Let me just say the pork buns were the best I have had. They had pork belly, hoisin sauce, cucumber, and spring onions which made it such a flavorful side dish. The drunken noodles were fantastic and so were the wings. They all were filled with so many flavors. A lot of places seem to skip flavor in food and end up being basic or bland, but this place hit it right on the nail. The way everything was constructed was similar to something I would find in a white table cloth restaurant. Everything was amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
