Really bad value for your money. My $15 sandwich had literally two pieces of deli meat, and a tiny squeeze of sauce. I wouldn’t come back here. I understand it’s a tourist town and that affects pricing but I haven’t felt this jipped in awhile. Super bummed. I wouldn’t come back here or recommend it, the latte was okay but definitely $6 for a small good.
I’m a latte loyalist with the kind of commitment usually reserved for long marriages and streaming subscriptions. Starbucks, for all its corporate quirks, at least delivers consistency—especially on the road, where “local latte” can too often translate to “lukewarm dessert in a cup.” And I’m not just chasing caffeine; I want breakfast to come with enough protein to qualify as actual fuel, not decorative pastry.
So last weekend in Moab, Utah, I wandered off the well-worn latte trail and took a chance on Bonjour Bakery—fully expecting to crawl back to my green-logo safety blanket.
Instead, Bonjour Bakery & Cafe staged an intervention.
My order isn’t exactly “simple.” In Starbucks-speak, it’s a triple grande, one-pump vanilla latte—an incantation that, at most indie shops, earns you a polite smile and a drink that tastes like the barista guessed. Translation is where dreams go to die.
Not here.
They nailed it—temperature, balance, sweetness, everything. The latte wasn’t just correct; it was charming, the kind of cup you sip slowly on purpose, like you’re trying to make the moment last longer than the foam.
And then there was the food: the real plot twist. Each morning I tried something different, and each morning I regretted only one thing—having just one stomach. The menu is excellent, the execution is better, and the experience is rounded out by a staff that’s friendly, efficient, and somehow makes you feel like you’ve been coming in for years.
For three days in Moab, Bonjour Bakery & Cafe gently pried my fingers off my Starbucks crutch and reminded me that breakfast—real breakfast—can be not only satisfying, but genuinely delightful.

This little bakery/café has amazing food and even more amazing service. We popped in to grab a treat on the way through Moab. We only ate sweet treats but the recommendations were spot on and the salted brownie is out of this world! We got ours warmed with ice cream. Thank you!

Strengths are definitely the desserts on display, they’re ready to go and delicious. Friendly customer service!
Caprese sandwich was refreshing. The baguette was on the tougher side, maybe it needs to be air tight after being prepared. Iced chai was closer to a hot milk with cinnamon, would probably order something different next time. Lemon blueberry mascarpone cake was amazing, tarte and sweet. Would order again!
