I have tried multiple times now to come here and even though it's Thursday at 3:08pm it's closed. And the first time it was closed!! I'm not sure what else to say except disappointed again. Perhaps one day they will be open during their posted hours and I can try it once and for all or another place will open and put the customer first and not continue to lie to their clientele. Or update your hours of operation!!!!!

I always wanted to try shaved ice but never had the opportunity, so when i saw the truck I knew I had to get one. The guy is very friendly and waited for me to finish my meal even though he wanted to close at 5 pm. I ordered it Hawaiian style and what should I say it was one of the best ice creams I ever had. I went back today because I just needed to taste that again but sadly the truck was closed.

It seems to me that this hokulia has new management. I have been to this place 2 times in the last month and it has been open. The service is very friendly and the flavors of the shaved ice are very good. Certainly, I'll keep coming to this truck.

Kids were hot and went wild for this shaved ice. Huge portions. Great flavor selection. There is a semi covered area in the Moab food truck park with cooling mist surrounding. Very refreshing stop.

This truck is amazing. Came here after a summer day in Arches National Park and got the longboard with 3 flavors (there are a ton to choose from). Enjoyed it so much I had to go back and get a second one. The ice is a perfect snowy texture. Feels just like snow. Perfect way to deal with the extreme heat in Moab. The food truck park also has mist surrounding the picnic tables which is a great way to cool down also.
Kids loved it! Such a generous serving and super friendly.

My wife and I had eaten dinner at one of the other food trucks, and we noticed the young man running Hokulia come out and visit with someone at one of the tables near us. When we finished our meal we wanted a shaved ice and figured the guy would go back in his truck. We waited 3 minutes in front of the truck for the guy, but he just ignored us. After we got a gelato at one of the other trucks, we noticed he was open again. If this is their attitude, we would never go to this truck.

I almost decided not to get anything from here because I saw that it was rated so low. I’m glad I actually looked at the reviews long enough to see that all the 1 star reviews were about their terrible hours / never being open.The shaved ice: I’m pretty sure most shave ice places use the same major band(s) of syrups, so the big difference is in the ice itself. For me, Hokulia has the perfect texture. Not like pebbles/hard to chew, but not powder. Just fluffy ice. For a hot dry day, it’s a perfect refreshing, hydrating treat.

Loved it here! They had such a huge variety of flavors and the service was great. Highly recommend adding the sweetened condensed milk as a topping, super yummy, it’s the perfect dessert for a hot day.
