We are new to the Moab area and we were told by one of the people staying in our RV park that it was great food. We are camp host at a local RV park. So we ordered lasagna last night with intent to split two orders between four of us. We also made a salad to go with it as the salad was way too expensive to order from the restaurant. The portion size was excellent, however, none of us could eat the lasagna as it was way too spicy and hot in taste Two of the people said it was the worst lasagna they ever had. I was just very disappointed because I couldn’t eat it. We ended up making grilled cheese sandwiches. So we basically threw out $50 of food because it was just too spicy and tasted terrible. We are asked every day where we recommend someone eating. We definitely will not refer to Pasta Jays. It just wasn’t quality, plus the staff was quite difficult to work with. Very bad for impression, and I guess last impression.

I was thoroughly excited about trying this place as I love Italian food and can eat more pasta than most people can lift! The menu and food did not disappoint! My salad and main course were delicious! My issue was with service. Not a matter of friendliness- everyone was genuinely welcoming. This is one of those restaurants where your order is taken by a “server” but a different person delivered my salad and still another staffer brought my main course… And then I was ignored. Had trouble remembering my “server’s” face when I got up to walk the dining room in an effort to find her… I wanted dessert; anticipated tiramisu as I sat amid my dirty dishes, but after sitting close to a half hour, I lost the yen. “Very busy night… l had a lot of tables outside” was the less than satisfactory reason for my relegation to invisibility…

Best Italian ever. No other place comes close

My husband and I had a lovely meal here. Great little restaurant for this cute national park town. Casual atmosphere with friendly service. We shared a salad and a pasta and it was plenty of food for the two of us. We all enjoyed a couple of drinks. No complaints! We love enjoying and supporting local restaurants!

Pasta Jay’s in Moab is absolutely amazing! The food is hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want after a long day of adventure in the desert. The pasta dishes are cooked perfectly and the sauces taste rich and homemade — you can tell everything is made with care. The portions are generous, and every bite feels comforting. On top of the food, the service is fantastic — the staff is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re craving classic Italian comfort food or just want a great meal in a lively atmosphere, Pasta Jay’s delivers every time. A must-stop in Moab!

At first, I wrote this place off because there were better reviews elsewhere in Moab for dinner, but we were craving Italian so decided to give Pasta Jay’s a try. Thank god we did. Food and service were both outstanding. All four of us got the Hagen option for dinner, which allows you to try 3 different dishes in one. Portions were great - just enough to finish and leave you more than satisfied, but not so much that you’re sick. The garlic bread it came with was also delicious. The stuffed shells are a must try. Jaciel, our server, was so attentive and helpful. He made us feel just like a local. I’m not sure why this place is only at a 4.2 because it definitely belongs up there around 5 with the rest.

Such a great experience here! We had the Alfredo Williams and Stuffed Chicken Genovese, both were so good. The whole ambiance was perfect in the outside seating. I would come back here ever time I visit Moab.

Before I dig into why I’m not leaving 5 stars, I will say the food was excellent. That said, the service was extremely poor. The servers themselves did ok (we had 2). The manager, Tonya, was extremely rude and not solution-oriented. We made a reservation over a week ago for a less-busy time, knowing we are a very large party of 14. We showed up 10 minutes early to an already early reservation and were told they just needed a little bit to put tables together. 30 minutes later (yes, I actually timed it) they said our table was ready, just to sit us separately as two groups- two completely different servers. Tried to take our orders at very different times. We tried explaining that we thought we’d be sitting together and would like to turn the tables to do so, as well as give us more room. The manager said “if you want to sit together you’ll have to sit outside, there’s not enough room with fire safety” even though it would have been much safer to turn the tables and put them together. She also cited fire hazard for the reason she needed to keep our travel stroller (very small when folded) outside instead of with us. She was not even patient enough to hear us out or try to find solutions. As much as I would like to say I would return because the food was so good, I don’t know that I can recommend this place. Just hope Tonya isn’t working if you choose to go!

Great food and great service. The baked pasta dishes were very healthy portions, but not too much! The jalapeno margarita was perfection! We had no wait on a busy Saturday night.

I wanted to like this place but I knew it wouldn't be good. Rule of thumb... avoid the Italian restaurants with tons of items on the menu. That means they don't really do anything well. I ordered pasta with sausage and it was literally drowned in sauce. Not great my wife had Caesar Salad with chicken that was dry and rubbery... just go somewhere else.

Service was flat out awful. Inattentive server who didn't acknowledge our table for a looong time. 2 meals were delivered...and nearly 10 MINUTES LATER we had to chase down the 3rd plus our drinks. Totally unacceptable. No apologies. Nothing. Food with creamy sauce was great (except Baked Rigatoni was watery).
