Spectacular large family dinner out on the back patio with views of the river while in town for our small wedding/elopement. Sipho and the whole team were exceptional, calling us ahead of time for logistics/planning and then taking great care of us all throughout the evening. Food, drinks, and service all phenomenal. The setting is gorgeous and unique, definitely worth the visit. We can't wait to come back. Thank you!

We made reservations for this place for my birthday. It’s a bit of a drive from Moab - around 30 minutes. We get all the way there to find out that the power went out 6 hours earlier and they didn’t call us to let us know. They stated they had called everyone except us due to a phone number error. They told us they were serving a VERY limited menu, which was essentially only the appetizers. This was beyond disappointing as this was my special birthday dinner. We tried to make the best of the situation and decided to still eat there as we would have lost an hour of just drive time and still be hungry. We shared a salad and shared the one pasta dish they offered. Beet salad was good. Mushroom pasta was nothing special. My husband got 1 drink, I got 2, and we got the chocolate cake (which was about 3 inches in length total). It still cost us over $200, including a forced 20% tip. The service was great and we had a great time talking with the staff all night as we were the only ones there. It would have been nice if they offered us a free dessert or something given the circumstances. The views were great as well. But I would not be returning.

Amazing food and drinks and a nice wine list, beautiful views and our server Miranda was on it 100%, well worth the drive instead of sunset grille

Woooo, the bison tenderloin was excellent and pricey$$$ but very good. Wifey had the Alaskan Halibut that was spectacular. Highly recommend the Meomi Pinot Noir for a spicy, robust red to go with the bison.

Top notch establishment, excellent staff and a meal to remember. My hubs had an mmm with every bite of the perfectly prepared pork chops and crème brûlée cheesecake. I enjoyed Alaskan salmon so tender with grilled leeks, green beans all served on a polenta bed. Flourless chocolate cake is to die for!
Pro tip: eat dessert first!

Chef Marty made our dinner extra special. The table was set for two when we arrived. The filet mignon was amazing and the mustard ragu was delicious. We loved every moment!

This restaurant is all about the journey there and the experience! It is spectacular! Dine overlooking the river with incredible views. The drinks were yummy. We had appetizers - the prawns and Shishito peppers were delicious. And the entrees looked good as well. It’s expensive and the view and experience are worth it. Our waiter, Mickey, was delightful as was the woman working the hostess stand. Stay late and watch the stars. Sit by the fire after Dinner and toast marshmallows! It’s an incredible experience.

We came to the River Grill especially for the environment and scenic location. If you're coming from Moab, the entire drive is beautiful and gets you along Colorado River for about 20-25min.

Staff at the River Grill are friendly and fairly efficient.

Food selection is limited, however quality and flavours were good. It's however on the pricey side and depending what you eat, the portions will leave you hungry if you decide to have just a main.

What I thought was not OK, was the fixed 20% service charge! To then demand for tips on top of that is unacceptable. I do understand that the remoteness of the place demands an upscale pricing but charging 20% service charge is simply too much...

Other than that, I still recommend to see this place, even if it's just for a drink as it is beautiful there. You could also bring your own food for a pic-nic nearby along the river, there are plenty of camping grounds and small beaches along Colorado river.

The food and atmosphere is very good. We ordered the halibut and ribeye special, along with two of the drinks on special. We were a bit surprised that each cocktail cost $48. We most likely would not have ordered it if we knew. However, our fault for not asking the price of the drink on special beforehand.

I would have loved to give this restaurant a good review because I hold it im great memory from a stay long time ago (2012). Unfortunately, at the night we ate there, neither in terms of service nor food has the River Grill Restaurant been up to par with establishments in a similar price range. Not only was our order mixed up and we ended up sharing one starter which on top of that didn't come as stated on the menu. My main course, a $52 Pork Chop, was very dry and chewy. Our experience makes me wonder where the raving reviews come from.

Staff was super nice, so was the view! Portions however were extremely small, quality was so so, and pricing extremely high. Expect to already pay 50$ for a breakfast with all the extra fees they’re adding to the bill.
