It’s a very special location. Food, however, was very meh. Trout just didn’t have a very good flavor and prime roast beef was on the tough side. Overall, kind of disappointing.

dined there last night and would never go back! my wife and I wanted a nice night out and ended in complete disappointment. my wife's steak came out extremely over cooked and dry. She didn't have a choice but to send it back. by the time her new steak came out I was long done with my dinner and she wasn't in the mood to eat hers anymore this late. no visit from a manager, or discount on the check. If you want to waste a couple hundred on dinner and get a to go box for a $45 steak have at it but we won't return and suggest looking into another place to dine.
In Moab for a couple of days. The town is nice, and the views are spectacular. It was my birthday, so we decided to check out the Sunset Grill for the special night.
They don’t take reservations, so we waited outside with a nice view of the lower area. After about 15 minutes, we got a table. The inside was full, but we wanted to sit outside anyway. We got waters right away, but it took a while for our server (who looked very busy) to get to us. She was very friendly and helpful.
We ordered several drinks, and I had the Atomic Margarita, which literally glowed in the dark — very fun! No appetizers for us. For entrées, we ordered the pasta, prime rib, strip steak, and the duck for me.
We got salads before the meal. Nothing special: a piece of tomato, cucumber, and onion. After a bit of a wait, the food came. It was hot, and the portions were generous. However, most of us agreed it wasn’t all that good. My duck had a layer of sauce that looked like it had “set” (too long under a heat lamp?), and it wasn’t very moist. The strip steak was cooked correctly but was gristly. The prime rib was also tough and a challenge to chew.
For dessert, we split a piece of tiramisu. It was finished with whipped cream and chocolate syrup — both of which tasted like they came from a can, not fresh.
We had really expected a better experience. There is so much to love about the location and the views. Unfortunately, the service was slow (although very pleasant and helpful), and most of the food was a disappointment. Not a place we would recommend or return to.

Beautiful setting. Ate outside with my family on July 4th. Enjoyed sunset and the atmosphere. Restaurant was very understaffed for a holiday night, but our server was hustling! Average food.

Obviously a gorgeous location, and the food was good but for the price you could expect better. The hostess was very helpful, however our server seemed all over the place. It just made it so that we stayed for a while waiting for water, food, and the check which was fine because we weren’t in a rush.

TOURIST TRAP, DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY FOR A VIEW U CAN GET ANYWHERE IN MOAB...
we made a booking and got there with a rude host, after getting sat in a table and ask to move he put us in a shityer table with AC blasting us, after complaining to the waitress who was polite but fake who propose us blanket who never came she finally took ur order...we order the snail, onion soup and bruschetta and a round of drink, the bruschetta come by it self before the drink... meanwhile my wife and kids when outside since it was so cold in there room, finally the drink came and let me tell u that was the worst old fashion I've ever try, my wife didn't even touch her gin tonic after looking at it, my sons sad yak when he try he cranberry lemonade and my daughter almost gag when she try her virgin mojito...now let's talk about food the bruschetta was a dry piece of bread with can tomato and over salty, when I've look at the onion soup I say no no, the escargot dish look like a pile of diarrhea on a plate, my daughter try it since she was starting and tested gross with full of lemon...that been say we had no exptation of a great dinner since this place is only for the view...we end up living after that and when got some pizza in town, I would rather eat out of a dumpster in the back of Wendy then eat anything who came out of this kitchen!!!! We left 100$$ on the table and even tips 15$ cause I'm a chef and work in hospitality!!!! I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAQUE!!!! GO TO ANTICA FORMA FOR PIZZA OR BROKEN OAR FOR AMERICAN STYLE PUB!!!!

HORRIBLE! EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE! We ordered the prime rib, a chicken and nuts dish, children’s Mac and cheese, and kids pizza. EVERYTHING WAS NASTY! The pizza was okay. The Mac and cheese was flavorless. The chicken was doused in dressing and nuts. I tried to like it and I’m not picky. There was a dead fly on our plate when we were seated and plastic wrapper from a toothpick on my son’s plate. I looked past this and didn’t say anything to the waitress. We didn’t get offered more water once. Cool atmosphere and views but not worth the price of the food. There are plenty of views elsewhere.
The daily specials board said a basil Hayden old fashioned. The server told me about the old fashion and I ordered it. On the check it came up as a Blantons bourbon for $26. I brought it up as if it was a mistake and it's insane to put Blantons in an old fashion in the first place but he said the board was from yesterday and thats what they're selling tonight. Honestly I think he was trying to sneak that in for some reason. Ruined my whole experience. Steak was good every thing else was blah.

My partner and I shared a lovely meal of artichoke baguettes, an old vine wine, the linguini Olivia and a creme Brule. Everything was excellent including our waiter Jorge! The Linguini Olivia was full of shrimp and real crab! So good. The views were lovely too! We would highly recommend!

Food was good, but we waited for almost 2 hours to get our Entrees. Demanding a 20% service charge for that kind of service is an absolute joke. Never going back!

The service at this restaurant was awful. We waited 30 minutes to be seated which was ok, but we waited an hour and 30 minutes without being seen. We placed the order and were promised salad and bread which took literally hours to come. This is a beautiful restaurant if you are looking for the views, I would suggest ordering a drink and leaving after sunset 😭. Very expensive for the service. Disappointed.

Had a lovely dinner at Sunset Grill tonight. I wanted to drink so I called and asked for a shuttle to pick me up and the driver arrived promptly. My server Marcelo was extremely nice and attentive. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. Couldn’t have been a nicer meal, with plenty of wine (cocktails available too). And the view!!! You’ve got to try this place just for the kitsch, you will not be able to find another restaurant like this anywhere.
