It’s a great location, If it wasn’t for the food being bad. I ordered the filet mignon, (medium). My first one was so overcooked it was like a piece of leather; The wait staff noticed it right away, was super polite, And did his best to correct it by bringing me a new plate; But then the second one was pretty rare. (I feel like cooking with a thermometer would fix this). Secondly, my wife’s food was missing one of the sides that her meal was supposed to come with (rice). For the cost, you would expect the rolls to be fresh, (they weren’t), Butter, not to be individual package servings You get at a cheap diner, the place to be clean (There were several flies by our table), And portions to be tasty (meh at best; not great flavor even in the 2nd fired steak). I had high hopes and was just disappointed overall.

I never leave reviews, felt it was worth warning people. We went here for their Thanksgiving “all you can eat” dinner and it was awful. Over the phone they told us to walk in because patio seating was open, and when we asked about the cold, they said they had patio heaters. In reality, only one section had heaters, and we weren’t just “away” from them, they seated us yards away on a completely separate patio with none at all. When we asked about it, they said there weren’t any available and handed us blankets, not even enough for four people. The yams were uncooked, the food was less than mediocre for the price, the cocktails were terrible, and it felt like they were just packing in holiday business. If you don’t have enough heated seating available in late November, don’t tell people to still come anyway. Not worth it.
I absolutely love this place! My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The staff were so kind and service was excellent. The quality of food can't be matched. Such a stunning place to make memories. Plus I love that they offer a free shuttle.

It’s a very special location. Food, however, was very meh. Trout just didn’t have a very good flavor and prime roast beef was on the tough side. Overall, kind of disappointing.

I’m not sure why this place was recommended to me by 2 different people- Perhaps it’s their outside patio view.. but we have been in the parks all week, so a valley view of Moab was no big deal- especially considering the 1 thing we were there for- the food- Was completely tasteless, lacking flavor and unimaginative. Any novice cook could have made all of the dishes at 20% the price.. Save your money and go someplace else.

The Sunset Grill was highly recommended by family members and it did not disappoint! My wife and I visited there on 11/03 for sunset and an early dinner. We were seated immediately upon arrival without a wait. Our server was Ugur, and he was polite, engaging, and attentive. The drinks were great, the main course was very good, and the desserts were the perfect ending to our evening.

The Sunset Grill was amazing! We took the free shuttle to and from the restaurant. David was our driver. He was outstanding. He was very nice and told us the history of Sunset Grill and Moab. He was entertaining and fun! The food and the service were great! Our waiter was a lot of fun. We sat on the patio and the view was amazing! We had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend this and will come back again. Don’t miss this wonderful experience

The restaurant offers stunning views of Moab, an extensive drink menu, and some more unique menu options like duck and escargot. Overall, it is not a bad place to go, but you're definitely paying for the view and not necessarily the quality of the food or service. We started with wine, an old fashioned and escargot as an appetizer. All of this was good. We had ordered Prime Rib (which was the special) and it wasn't until after we had finished our appetizer that the waiter came out to inform us that they were actually out of Prime Rib. We decided then to get the NY strip steak. Unfortunately we found them to be sub par, especially considering the price. They were chewy, had some grissel, and tasted strongly of charcoal. Also...they served the meal on such a small plate that we couldn't cut the steak without the onions, mushrooms, and asparagus falling off onto the table. For dessert we got creme brulee, which was probably the best I've personally ever had and really saved the whole experience for us. Our waiter was also very chatty and unprompted shared some personal stories with us, which might be fine if you're sitting at a bar, but at a restaurant where our meal for 2 people cost almost $200 and you're trying to have a romantic date night, it was a tad annoying.

In Moab for a few days of hiking and decided to have dinner with a view here. Food was delicious, view was spectacular. Our server Heather was fantastic, attentive and kind, also gave us some great local suggestions for hikes, sunset views, etc. Ask for her if you decide to go!
