We had two different dishes and they both tasted like they came out of the fish fryer. Quesadilla and nachos. Not good. Workers and service were good.
Soggy fries, blah burgers with fancy names, cover charge for to loud music for size venue. Maybe they only wanna be a local watering hole
Great place 2 watch naked & afraid at a sport bar lol loved it
Last night, I unexpectedly boarded a cruise ship in the middle of Moab—the legendary Worlds Famous Woody’s Tavern. I came in solo, but from the moment I walked through the doors, it felt like I was stepping into a lively ship full of good vibes and great people.
At the entrance stood two captains—friendly faces making sure everything ran smoothly, giving warm welcomes like true pros of the sea. Inside, the real magic unfolded.
Behind the bar were the most stunning blonde bartenders, with smiles that could steer ships and charm that could calm any storm. They handled the crowd like seasoned sailors—mixing drinks with style, grace, and a sparkle in their eyes. Watching them work was like watching an elegant dance on deck—confident, smooth, and mesmerizing.
The live musicians were nothing short of sensational—no jukebox needed here. They filled the air with music so good, it pulled everyone to the dance floor like waves pulling the tide. I tipped them $40 without a second thought; they deserved every penny.
There was a pool table on deck, where travelers played and laughed like lifelong friends. Most guests had walked from nearby hotels, which made the atmosphere easygoing and stress-free. And for those who drove, parking was a breeze.
Although I didn’t try the food, the energy of this place was more than enough to satisfy. Woody’s Tavern is more than a bar—it’s a desert cruise full of soul, rhythm, and heart. It’s the kind of place that turns an ordinary night into an unforgettable adventure.
Highly recommend this voyage to any traveler passing through Moab. Raise your glass, set your course, and enjoy the ride aboard the Woody’s!
Great bar to grab a drink after a day of hiking!
If you’ve got 20 mins to sit at a bar and not get served this might be the place for you
A great place. Drinks are reasonably priced and you do not have to order food.
Unfortunately they dropped the ball big time. Waited almost 90 minutes for nachos and a quesadilla. When we got it the nachos were burnt to a crisp (black) and the quesadilla was thrown together. Bar tender was a rude woman and didn’t have any personality. Save your money and time.
Very Cool Original Moab Tavern!! Some unique beers, love the Walrus from Roadhouse Brewer, 8.3 beer in cans!
Amazing atmosphere. Rustic appeal. The type of bar you'd hope to see a bar fight, but you probably won't.
Restaurantji Recommends
Bartender lady was super rude. Would not recommend going here.
For the love of god, ask about why Terrance Thompson got put on their 86 list. What a story.
Super awesome karaoke bar with food, friendly service
Some friends went to Moab, and suggested we call at Woody’s for a drink. We did…
It is a real locals bar, and no frills. We were not immediately comfortable, but soon got chatting to locals who made a number of nearby restaurant suggestions. Our short visit ended well after a pint (me), and a glass of wine (my wife).
A last little piece of old Moab?
Tourist trap, the “bartenders” are awful then they wonder why they get no tips.
