The food, as always, was excellent. The wait staff is friendly, and knowledgeable about the food when questioned, and can offer suggestions. Our server was very nice and checked back often. There is great wine and drinks selection. The portions are large, so you have food to take home.
The chicken milanese was dry and tough. I could barely cut it with the knife they gave me. The pasta was over cooked and starchy. It was too salty.
Listen folks, you're better off at Noodles and Company. Maybe I ordered wrong? If you want the nice ambiance, the nice building, dining with other peeps who are telling themselves the food is better than Noodles and Co, and if you're hanging at the mall anyway, go for it. I didn't pay but I'm sure my chicken fettuccine was probably $20 and I left...disappointed still. Service was fine, he wasn't overly friendly. Very matter of fact. Kept the water and diet Coke coming and there was a lot. No complaint there. Brio food was a bust for me!

So disappointed! Our anniversary dinner was a bad choice. Chicken was so dry it was not edible...ordered a $14 glass of wine and was charged $24 for a glass... I chose the place and sad I did.

The server was great. He was very nice and attentive. The food was really good too aside from the calamari. We will be going back.

Place looks amazing before you are seated but the food was terrible. Over priced, bland, ordered the filet medium and got a well done sirloin. Sent it back, got a filet raw in the middle. Got a chicken dish instead tasted terrible. Will never go back.

FYI This is what the $10+ piece of Tiramisu looks like. And that's a salad fork.
Pasta Ala vodka was great

The food is good but not worth the price. For what you pay I would expect better, fresher food. Some of there stuff is packaged and shipped in.

From the moment we sat down, we almost felt dredge. Our hostess was kind and took care of us. We had a lunch reservation for 11:30 and arrived early. I believe we were the only table at that time in the restaurant. Waited for about 5-6 min before our waitress came. She was all about business and very unfriendly. She took care of our order, impatient and not happy to be answering questions about the menu. We asked about lunch specials and she replied, “what we have is on the menu.” Our meals were brought out on trays and sat a few minutes until she came to distribute them. Our meals were just ok. I don't think Brio is as good as it used to be, and prices are extremely high.$10 for a cup of soup? She did separate our bills which was nice. When she brought them back, just left them in a stack on the table. Not very professional for a white linen tablecloth restaurant. We are a group of 6-7 ladies who lunch together monthly. It was my month to choose. We had a mix up between Red Rock and Brio at Fashion Place Mall. I wish we'd chosen Ted Rock. I think prices are too high for lunch in SLC. A luncheon special menu with smaller proportions would be wise. I won't go back to this Brio.
I've always wanted to give this place a try. It's a simple Italian restaurant, but the ambience and décor give it a luxurious feel. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite justify the price tag. The quality hovered just above what you might expect from a national chain like Olive Garden, making the upscale pricing feel mismatched with the overall experience. $18 for calamari? Really? Especially when it seemed like the same breaded, not-so-fresh version you'll find at many other spots. That said, they did make a delicious spaghetti bolognese—and I'd happily pay $22 for that again.
