Fun place for a date night. The vibe is fun, I love how they folded the napkins in flowers and the parking is easy too. Soys used to be my favorite sushi spot I would come at least once a week. Then the service started going down hill and then the food started going down hill. I went back yesterday to see if the quality gotten better and the service was better, but the food was about the same. Meh

The food at Soy’s Sushi was decent and service started off fine. However, halfway through our meal, my husband noticed a huge pile of ants on the floor—and I had ants crawling all over my feet in sandals. We informed the server, who brought the manager. She offered to move us, but the mood was ruined, so we asked for the check and a box.
No discount was offered, which surprised me given how unsettling the experience was. I asked directly, and the manager said they had called pest control but couldn’t provide any discount. I’ve never seen a restaurant refuse to make things right under such circumstances.
Even though the food was good, the lack of accountability means we won’t be back.

I hate to leave this kind of review, but I feel it’s important to share our experience.
My wife, our one month old baby, and I were enjoying our meal when we noticed something unsettling. About halfway through, we realized our shoes were covered in ants. Not just a few, there were 5 to 10 ants per shoe, crawling toward our legs. I looked under our booth and saw a noticeable mound of ants underneath the seat.
We informed our server, who was very kind and attentive. She brought it to the manager’s attention, who came by, apologized, and then brought us the bill. What surprised us was that it was still the full price. I wasn’t expecting a free meal, but given the circumstances, I thought a small gesture like a discount would’ve shown that they cared about our experience.
When we asked about the possibility of a discount, the manager apologized again and explained that they had contacted pest control but said they couldn’t offer anything off the bill, and proceeded to ask for payment.
We understand things happen and pests can be unpredictable, but it felt like this was a missed opportunity to make it right. Take this review as you will, we just wanted to share our experience.

Wonderful restaurant, delicious food and cordial hosts. The sushi was made with fresh cut fish, it was delicious. We particularly liked the seaweed salad.
One of the few good sushi restaurants in Utah. Great menu, many choices and everything is high quality. We have been a few times and always have a great meal.

Delicious sushi! The Ecstasy Roll was so light and fresh, as was the Lollipop Roll. The gyoza was some of the best I've had anywhere. The servers were friendly and attentive and the kitchen had the food up quickly so it came out hot

The service was extremely slow and inattentive. I initially thought all the food was too salty but we realized it was the soy sauce. I’m not sure if they made their own but I had difficulty eating my food after adding soy sauce to the fried rice and the sushi. The sodas were also flat and so the coke tasted like it had been sitting out for some time. I though the price points were really reasonable for what we ordered.

Food was decent. Had a roll and poke bowl. Water which I usually opt for, reminded me of my childhood when I'd drink from the water hose. Would've preferred something filtered. Waiter was very nice and attentive but kept asking about drinks.
