We LOVE RJ BBQ, anytime its at an event, we always get it, we love the potato salad. However with Father's Day, I am extremely disappointed that the potato salad is the store bought, and they added cheese and green onions. My husbands favorite is the potato salad we always get from the food truck, and this was 100% not it. I worked in retail for 10 years once upon a time, and it looks and taste like store bought. We are very disappointed. The rest of the food was good, the brisket wasn't very much quantity, but still good. We will continue to get RJs when we see the food truck out, but I'll never do a prepaid specialty order.

Overpriced and disappointing. We spent $20 on one order of brisket nachos, and mayyybe 10% of the dish was brisket. It was mainly toppings, and cheap toppings at that (literally there were more canned jalapeño slices than chips in this dish, not an exaggeration), and then the type of nacho cheese you get at a bowling alley or baseball game.
Flavors altogether weren’t bad, but the price you pay is not worth it for how little meat you get and the overall quality of this dish. Wish we would have taken a picture but only after eating half of it did we realize how little brisket was actually in there under all the toppings.

Amazing!!!! We just used them for our son’s rehearsal dinner. They were so helpful in coordinating what we would need. Which is wonderful, but the food was EXCELLENT!!! We got the pork, brisket, and chicken and it was hard to choose a favorite! Potato salad, coleslaw, bacon mac and cheese SO GOOD!! The cookies and cream were a HUGE hit!!!! They don’t skimp on the portions either, I had ordered extra food bc I wanted leftovers for the bridal party but honestly I didn’t need to bc their portions were so generous!!! I would 100% recommend them!!!! Thanks for making our dinner a success!!

Just had some of the best brisket I think I have ever had. Melt in the mouth tender and the tangy sauces on the side round out an amazing flavor. The sides are pretty good too.

I used RJ’s BBQ for my wedding in Nephi, UT and it was such a great experience. Easy to work with, communication was great, had plenty of options, and portions were a great size. Not to mention, the food was delicious and I got many compliments on the food from guests. I would definitely recommend!

We got the two meat plate; ribs & brisket with loaded potato salad & bacon Mac n' Cheese for sides.
The brisket was over cooked and tasted more like a pot roast than smoked brisket. There was no discernible smoke ring. The ribs were tasty, but over cooked as well, like they spent way too much time in a warmer maybe. The potato salad was good. The bacon Mac n' Cheese was not great the noodles were over cooked and the cheese seemed like it had been scalded. The roll that came with the meal was entirely underwhelming.

My wife and I heard about how great and fantastic this BBQ truck is. In our opinion it’s a bit over hyped, and definitely over priced! The brisket tasted like a dry, bland pot roast. As for the sides, the Bacon Mac-N-Cheese was awful. I enjoy a good bacon Mac, this definitely wasn’t it! The other sides are pretty standard and typical for a bbq place nothing to write home about. This really stinks, because we wanted so much to enjoy and have a similar experience that we’ve heard so much about. IDK maybe we’ll give them another shot, but it’s unlikely.

I hired RJ BBQ and Catering to cater a buffet dinner for my daughter's wedding in the remote Ibex hardpan area of Utah, about 90 minutes from Nephi. The location had the challenge of no electricity, no water, and no wifi. I live in Georgia, and was so impressed that owner Ryan John responded promptly and thoroughly to every phone call and email, answering every question I had. Ryan made helpful suggestions for the buffet menu to feed the wedding reception dinner to 130 people, including 30 vegetarians. The 2 employees who delivered and set up the buffet arrived on time and were so friendly and attentive, ensuring that all guests were served. EVERYONE loved the food offerings: BBQ brisket, pulled pork, BBQ jackfruit, various BBQ sauces, coleslaw, potato salad, mac 'n' cheese, baked beans, and fruit cobbler. The food was delicious and plentiful. Several of us ate leftovers 2 days later, and they were just as yummy as on the night of the wedding dinner. I highly recommend RJ BBQ and Catering and would not hesitate to use this company again!

Ryan had another career that he left to pursue his passion for great food and happy people, and he's a master at both! I have noticed the long lines at his food truck, and recently was introduced to his catering. It was FANTASTIC! Brisket was fall apart tender, with a tasty smoke ring and excellent spices. Moist, flavorful, lean, and tender, it hits all the marks! BBQ chicken was similarly tender, moist, flavorful, and lean. His homemade sauce was delicious. Side salads, rolls, coleslaw, and potato salad were incredible. And then, peach cobbler that is a hot, tasty, and perfected ending. Every single step was amazing and the work of a true master of the craft.

I work for First Colony Mortgage as the events manager, and we had RJ BBQ cater for us! They went above and beyond for us! They delivered to our location, brought all of the serving utensils, and went above and beyond. Ryan is SO kind, accommodating, and his food was delicious. 10/10 recommend!
