Love it here

Saying this restaurant exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. From the moment I stepped out of my car, I was greeted by the rich, mouthwatering aromas of Mexico—the land of my ancestors—filled with cinnamon, roasted chiles, and the fragrance of fresh ingredients prepared with love.

Inside, I was immediately struck by the beautiful painted mural wall, the warm smiles of the staff, and the impeccable cleanliness of the space. My family and I enjoyed a variety of classic dishes, including the Chiles Rellenos plate, tacos, caldo de res, and shrimp cocktail, among others. Every single dish was clearly simmered, seasoned, and crafted with care.

La Tormenta doesn’t just serve food—it serves tradition and heart on a plate. If I could, I’d give it more than a perfect score. For me, it’s a 20/10—absolutely wonderful.

Rather bland food. I ordered a burrito with some beans and lettuce on the side. It didn't really have any flavor to it. The salsa with the chips wasn't bad and probably the tastiest part of the meal. The waitress was really nice though!

Has been one of our top local eating spots for nearly ten years. Never had a bad meal. Inexpensive, top notch food, good service. Somewhat minimalist atmosphere but quiet, authentic and clean. Would eat lunch here pretty much every day if I could.

Food was pretty good. Dining room is a bit cramped. Staff are friendly but you have to order at the counter. Prices are fair. Worth a visit.

With as many great Mexican food options as we have in cache Valley, I can’t say that I would recommend eating here. At least not the Carne Asada tacos. They were lacking flavor and overpriced.
