Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

I ordered just the pork from the catering menu and picked it up to save myself some time tonight, thinking I would make my own burritos and salads. It cost $40, but said it would feed 10 people. When I picked it up, all it was was a salad tin half full of meat. I was sure that must be wrong but they were adamant. I could have ordered 4 full salads/burritos for the same price and gotten more meat plus the fixings. I like cafe rio- the food is tasty and it’s hard to mess up. But this is ridiculous. Save your money and just make your own.

I ordered on the app and it was awesome until i saw black means in my salad 🥲🫩I can’t eat black beans so i unfortunately wasnt able to eat it and had to give it to my brother. My receipt specifically said “no beans, double rice” I was super excited for my salad but now im just hungry and disappointed.

Update So we go to this restaurant quite often they're very generous with their food portions or so they were so I went there recently on Jan-29-2026 one thing they changed now is they no longer give out anymore free Nino's with or without buying a meal that sucks my kids loved those and looked forward to them when I went there now u charge a doller each for them lol turning into tight wads I see I'm sure there is more dumb things to come that will not be a Smart idea you guys used to be awesome and were definitely a to go to but not so much anymore changing things that made u great is never a good idea great way to lose customers just sayin the food is always really delicious but has also become way way more expensive what I used to buy around $25 to $30 is now closer to $65 $70 range insane the food is good but dam it's not that good... the queso is always good but could u please fill the container all the way up though please try to keep your chips more fresh as well it seems like that's sometimes a hit and miss

Went in about an hour prior to closing. Food was all put up and away, employees acted annoyed to have us there. You’d think we walked in 15 minutes after closing.

Food being “kept warm” on top of the stove which is extremely gross and cleaning rags on top of where food should be served. Both of which i assume are against food handling standards.

Super dissatisfied with my entire experience, seems to be on par with other peoples experiences. A year ago there were reviews of people saying the same exact thing. Why is this still happening? Get a grip. Sheesh

The food was good. However the service was terrible. The two men/boys were very rude and acted annoyed that they had to help us. The man that was doing the topping gave us hardly any lettuce and was pisses when my daughter didnt want any pico. The lady at the register was very very nice. But we will most likely not come back to this location.

I’ve deeply loved cafe rio best place on earth to eat. But be careful ordering online I’ve ordered over a good 10 times and I’ve gotten the wrong order with the right name. Wrong sauce / condiments. Just consistency I feel like hasn’t been great like back in 2020. Boy oh boy do I miss those good burritos. So if I want cafe rio it’s Brigham city cafe rio. Man they are doing something different it’s better over there sadly.

Had sweet pork burrito enchilada style. So good. Were older, so we eat earlier. Go when not busy usually around two or three. Works for us.

They gave very poorly meat on the quesadilla and the mini quesadilla come with oranges and they didn't give us nothing and there's a guy with poorly attitude 11/05/2025 at 5:18 pm this wa at north ogden

Every time I visit this location they never get my order right. The last time I got a sweet pork burrito, the majority of the burrito was just rice and only a few pieces of meat. I live in north Ogden but would rather drive all the way to Riverdale for cafe rio. I am always disappointed when I go to this location.

Their meat quality has gone down for sure. Tube looking things in their shredddd beef and their grilled chicken is dry.

This place has just gone down hill honestly it sucks. Went to get some nachos, they gypped me on the chips, gypped me on my beans and meat, didn’t have any queso and didn’t even melt the cheese on my nachos. This place is absolute garbage now, they also didn’t give me my receipt cuz they knew they screwed me so I can’t even get a refund on the app. Costa vida is much better and I will be going there from now on
