I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Sugar Shack was frustrating enough to warrant one. The biggest issue wasn’t even the food (which was mediocre at best)—it was the owner. Incredibly rude, condescending, and completely dismissive of any feedback. When I politely asked about an incorrect order, they acted like I was wasting their time and made snide comments loud enough for other customers to hear. It’s clear they care more about their ego than running a welcoming business. The atmosphere in the shop feels tense, and honestly, it’s not hard to see why. I won’t be back—and I’d caution others who expect basic respect and professionalism.

The employees here always seem super stressed out like they get no support from the owner, and I'm pretty sure I overheard a conversation while in there the other day that the owner hasn't paid her employees their owed wages in over a month. Sad to see underage labor being exploited in this manner in what is otherwise an amazing community. If the baked goods were even slightly more palatable I might not even raise this complaint, but here we are.

Hands down the most amazing eclairs and rolls. The orange roll specifically is incredible. The eclairs are out of this world delicious. Met Nana herself and she is so sweet! Forever coming back here!

I googled reviews for best “cinnamon rolls” near me. These guys were rated 4.8 so I went right when they opened up. I was not disappointed, the cinnamon rolls are soft and massive. I highly recommend stopping here if you’re craving something sweet and delicious. Next time I’ll be trying the raspberry ones

The OG cinnamon rolls are my favorite. The cookies are a close second. Love that it’s a local spot that serves great baked goods.
