Loved the candy store!

So fun! You get a close up look at the chocolate making process, watch a 10 minute video on how chocolate is made and its history. You also get to taste a few samples (yum!) At the end of the tour you sample their ice cream and then get to use the $4 voucher you received at check in to buy some chocolates. The tour costs only $5, $4 of it going towards the voucher. Kind of cool!

You do need a reservation, so call ahead, especially if you're going during a holiday! It fills up. We went on a Saturday so we didn't get to see the factory in full chocolate making mode since they don't make chocolate on Saturdays. Bummer! Had we known we would have scheduled it on a weekday. Still, it was cool to see the factory and they did have a lady there who is the head chocolate maker, having worked there for 25 years, and she sat by the window so we could watch her close up. It was fascinating! She was so good at it! It reminded me of the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ethel are making chocolates. Haha! I would have loved to try it!

Oh, and their chocolates taste amazing! Love that it's family owned.

Bought a box of dark chocolate cremes on line for Valentines Day. Not the best I’ve had, disappointed, and I’ve had many. Godiva used to be my go to. So far the cremes I’ve eaten from my box have not had much flavor, and seem to be artificial flavors.

Great place to pick up specialty chocolates and ice cream. They always offer a free sample. You can even take a tour of the chocolate factory.

My kids used to go thru the tour with their Pre-school. I love this place! They are grown but I do go back for little treats. The staff have always been so friendly and amazing.

This location offers a tour of their factory. It consists of a 15 minute video and then several windows overlooking the factory floor. Our three year old really enjoyed it. It was 5 dollars per person but you got a 4 dollar voucher to use in their store.

Kid-friendliness: We took our infant and 3 year old on the factory tour. Our toddler loved it.

Wheelchair accessibility: The factory and store floor is wheelchair accessible. However, the rest of the tour is not because it takes you upstairs and there is no elevator.

This place was lame, the factory tour is not a tour where they show you how to make chocolate, they just show an outdated movie and some pictures. Very boring for kids, dont recommend.

If you can, call a day or two ahead and go on the tour. $5 and then you get a $4 voucher for the store at the end. Worth the experience with kids!

The factory tour was fun to see the factory and to watch the skill of the hand dipped artist. Best part was selecting my own assorted candy box and then having them shrink wrap it for the flight home to Pittsburgh. Plus the color brochure that tells what each candy is!!
