They’ve taken an American classic and revived it into a double wide with a drive thru on the lower level, and revived the dining experience in this charming town. We got the Belgium waffle and the spicy chicken sandwich. The waffle was very tasty, and the side of bacon was a small 3 pieces. I was expecting fruit on the side as well, but none came. The spicy chicken sandwich was a thigh, and not a breast. So the meat was thin and a little chewy, but the flavors were great.

Our server, Jeffrey, was a standout from all of the other staff in the way he remained focused and calm during a busier time of the day. We came in around Noon on a Saturday and decided going in if the parking was full the restaurant was full we should be prepared to wait. Not the case with Jeffrey. We did our part by having our order ready and he did his by getting it to us quickly. All while each of the staff were juggling Host, Server and Busser duties at once. We’ll be back again and again for the service. As for the food, some of the reviews are a bit unfair. When you come to a place with Diner in the name, order Diner Food and you’ll be very happy. Try to get too gourmet and you are rolling the dice. Just keep it simple and you’ll enjoy. We had a delicious Burger and a fantastic Rueben and got out the door for $37 + tip. A great value.

I was hungry so I ate it and didn't send it back, but they should rethink that dish.

This is.a great little diner. It seems they have a legitimate chef who does a beautiful job of making gourmet meals. Cute diner vibe with white cloth level meals.
Plenty of excellent food, a great atmosphere, awesome service, and a great view. Travel back in time to when you were served with a smile, there was a juke box on the table, the food was fresh and great and the prices were very reasonable. You don't have to wear a your jeans rolled up at the bottom, or your pink poodle skirt but you'll wish you had! If you have a classic car - BONUS. No kidding, take the beautiful drive out to Oakley and enjoy the Oakley Diner!
