I love the 89, one of my favorite drives in the country. I stayed the night just down the road in Mt. Carmel and had dinner at a restaurant there but the next day, I waited patiently for Archies to open for a fantastic burger and fries. It was windy and I was early but also first customer of the day. I placed my order and chatted with the server for a few minutes till the food was up then hustled to my car to eat out of the wind. The staff told me this was unusual wind but have a plan B in mind when you come here since seating is outside only. The burger and fries were delicious. I didn't get the fabrats burger since I had a 10 hour drive home but it looks amazing. While burgers and fries are fairly common, these were above average and I will be back. This is one of the few restaurants in the area and it being a good one necessitated this review,.

The customer ratings led me to believe I'd be served properly prepared food. I was not. My burger was over-cooked and dry. My wife's Utah Cheesesteak was the same! The fries were all tiny pieces. I believe my wife's onion rings were ok. It took well over a half-hour before my number was called. It was about 40 degrees with a 30 MPH wind blowing. So, there was nothing nice about the experience. I hope our dinner at Archie's was truly an outlier.
Parking: It would be a welcome amenity if the food could be carried to the customer's vehicle when the weather is poor rather than having to freeze for 40 minutes.
It truly is to die for! The hamburger was soooo good! And the onion rings was also incredible. You will not be dissapointed.

Archie’s is a good spot to stop at when passing by the area.
I had the vegan Beyond Burger. The taste was ok, but I’ve had better. It was quite dry as the sauce I was given was probably only veggie. I don’t know if they have a vegan sauce also. I asked one of the girls at the food counter and she didn’t know if it was vegan or not.
The fries were super nice! They use different oil for fries/onion rings and non-veg items. The lemonade was also superb!

My husband and I both got Fabrat burgers and they were amazing!! Also very yummy fry dipping sauce. I got their homemade lemonade with strawberry flavor and it was delicious. Quick service and nice atmosphere. Great little stop for lunch!

Absolutely delicious! We stopped in for lunch on a pleasant fall Friday. The staff was pleasant and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. The food (crispy chicken bacon ranch and spicy chicken sandwiches) were delicious. But the fries! You've got to go for the fries. They're like crack fries. There is no indoor seating. But if you can't stand the elements eat in your vehicle - drive-in style. Otherwise, enjoy the great food amongst the great views of southern Utah.

My husband and I had the Fabrats burger. It was delicious! The frysauce that came with the French fries was so good! The gal who took our order was polite, friendly and had great customer service! We took our food back to our rental, but there is nice seating out of the sun!
