TERRIBLE product. If you're looking for longevity, search elsewhere, save your money!

I was blending a smoothie and somehow it started blending and knocked a hole in the side wall of the plastic. A HOLE!

So, I got the jar replaced, and decided to give them another chance...

This time, guess what? The jar started SMOKING like burning plastic!

Not worth it. Won't recommend or buy again.

Don’t ever buy this blender. You will use it 30 times and then it will break and then you’re out of luck. Then will tell you that it’s a more to fix the blender than the $300 that you paid for it so that you just better buy a new one.

Blendtec DOES NOT CARE.

After I decided to get a "real" blender for home use, I was debating between Blendtec and Vitamix.

Blendtec offers only a 2 year warranty for their Total Blender Classic vs a Vitamix 5200 (7 year warranty).

I emailed Blendtec's customer service Support address (from their website), asking why I should buy their unit given the shorter warranty.

After 6 days, I have not yet received a reply.

After waiting 3 days, I emailed Tom Dickerson, Blendtec's founder & now Executive Chairman asking him the same question. I also messaged him via LinkedIn.

Three days later, no reply from Tom.

This told me all I needed to know.

UPDATE 8/19/24...

Blendtec says they never received my email.

I saw your reply to my Google review. I'm forwarding my original message, sent 8/11/24 at 0214AM to the exact same email address to which it was originally sent.

In any case, I'm now enjoying my Vitamix.

This company's practices are highly questionable. There have been reports of misleading customer interactions and exorbitant repair costs. It is advisable to exercise caution when considering products from blendtec.

This company is just awful. I mean, they're total scammers! And get this, their customer service team thinks it's cool to mislead customers and then joke about it. Oh, and here's the kicker - if your blender breaks, you'll end up shelling out the same amount to fix it as you paid for it in the first place. Seriously, do yourself a favor and steer clear of blendtec.

Very disappointed with warranty and customer service. For the amount of money you spend on one of these blenders, the warranty should be a lot better. Under 100 blends on my blender, just outside the warranty and the blender has electrical issues and won't stay powered on. I was offered a $25 discount on another blender. Why would I pay that price again when my ninja was cheaper and has lasted way longer.

Brand new $400 blender didn’t work. They asked me to send it back before they will ship the replacement so I do. They said new one would go out same day (Thursday). Still no shipping notification or tracking number by Monday. Have talked to probably five different people all telling me it would go out Monday. Call Tuesday and it still hasn’t shipped and I’m still without a blender. Cannot get through to customer service no matter how many times I call. This company sucks!

This company is dishonest and completely trash. DO NOT BUY you can NOT get warrantee even when its defective materials.I Purchased this completely trash blender from COSTCO and used it to make less than 30 Orange Smoothies. The blade in the jar has broken and spins on the shaft. Called customer service at Blendtec and they were as dishonest as they could be trying to talk about a rubber gasket that is not even what I was talking about and told me to buy another one as they don't warrantee the product after use. So what they are saying is if you buy a car and the transmission fails a block aways not their problem. Very dishonest.All i can do is warn you if you are thinking of buying this product, this company does not care about reputation or customers or material failure of products they make. There are many other better brands out there I suggest using anyone other than these scammers.I called back to customer service to file a complaint to corporate they gave me a number that is nothing but a dumpster box and never received a response after leaving a message. Called back to customer service to ask to speak to someone higher to report the issue too and was told there is no one they can transfer you too but you can call the robo-number that just gives you a mail box that wont be answered. Worst company ever. I live in Utah 20 min from this horrible company. Goes to show you buying local is not always a good thing.
