El Molcajete Mexican Restaurant

Tons of food for the price! We ended up ordering the parillada for 4. Presentation was 10/10. The molcajetero was very authentic!Food was very good! It came with everything! Chicken, Al pastor, carnitas, steak, chorizo, shrimp everything! The server was super attentive and nice! We will definitely be going again!

We tried this place for the first time and ordered the molcajete and chicken mole enchiladas. They're both very delicious. The service was good. Our order came out quickly (it was slow when we came). All of us left with our belly full and happy.

My mom called this phone number a few days prior to Christmas asking if they’d be open on Christmas Eve. The man on the phone confirmed they would be open. My mom ordered online on Christmas Eve for pick up. Payment was submitted. She drove to this location and the restaurant was closed. On the 26th she drove back to the restaurant to ask for her food to be made or receive a refund. Neither could be done for her due to “system updates”. The woman claimed remaking the food would be “too confusing”. My mom was told to call the customer service phone number for help resolving the issue. She left the restaurant and called the phone number in the parking lot. The same woman that denied my mom a refund inside the restaurant was the one to answer the phone. It was not a customer service number, it was just the locations phone number. When my mom said she was calling about a refund the woman hung up. DO NOT buy food here online… especially during the holidays!!! They won’t come through and they won’t resolve issues.

I waited 40 minutes for my food today, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. They put two, maybe three orders ahead of me, and when I asked what was going on, I got zero explanation, zero apology, and zero accountability. The staff tried to claim the DoorDash orders were ahead of me, but those customers waited the same amount of time I did. Meanwhile, I watched people who arrived after me get their food first -

and they ordered similar food to mine.

On a different occasion, the cactus still had needles in it, and it literally stung my tongue. When I called to let them know, again, there was no apology and no effort to make it right.

This is simply unprofessional. At the very least, an apology should have been given - but there was no apology, no explanation, no discount, nothing.

I will never go back to this place.

And my order was incomplete.

This place is hit and mis.

Sooooooo good! Especially the fajitas in the pineapple, chimichangas, and piña colada’s 😍😍😍

We love El Molcajete!! Alejandra has been our waitress every time. She’s darling, so attentive and fun to talk to. The food is delicious and presented nicely. We always go around 2:30, and the restaurant is very quiet, which we love. It’s decorated very festively and always clean. The “2 sopas” is my favorite dish. Highly recommend!

My new favorite Mexican place! I tried the Pina al pastor and it was absolutely scrumptious--just the right amount of char, juicy pineapple, and savory meat. Portion sizes are generous, and the chips and salsa were delicious too (I think the salsa is made in house, by the taste--always a good sign.) I will definitely be back!

This place is awesome. The service was outstanding and the complementary chips and salsa are a staple of any true family owned restaurant. Food was incredible and the portions were huge! Highly recommend!

This is the best Mexican food and experience in Utah county and probably Utah as a whole! Me wife and I really liked the fajitas meal and the authentic Mexican drinks. Sooo good! The staff are awesome too!
