I've been going to El Pollo Loco for years, but my visits have been less frequent lately due to service issues. I decided to give it another try tonight, but unfortunately, it didn’t go well. I won’t bore you with all the details, but it started off on the wrong foot when it took nearly 20 minutes to get our order —even though there were only two other couples in the restaurant. The chicken was okay, but the sides were disappointing. One of the sides was Pinto Beans, and it was mostly water (see picture). I had to laugh when I counted only 11 whole beans and 3 half beans in total. Not the quality of food or service I used to expect from this place.

There were literally only four people in the store and we waited well over 20 minutes only to get to the car and realize that they got one item on our order wrong! Then I walked back inside and tell them I asked for mashed potatoes and they did not give me my mashed potatoes. Laura The manager asked me to walk back to my car and bring the macaroni and cheese back to them, which I did not order. They treated me like I was trying to get free food when they are the ones who made the mistake! They made us wait forever when nobody was in the store and then she didn’t even get my order right so I left upset without my mashed potatoes! Disappointing and I will not go back.
