Went here a couple of weeks ago on a quiet Thursday night. One of our sons said it was better than BamBams, which intrigued me. My husband and I shared a three meat, two sides combo. Order an extra cornbread if sharing, oh, and with honey butter, chef’s kiss! It’s heavenly! The smoked chicken was some of the best I’ve had. The brisket was good. Can’t say about the spicy sausage but my Cajun country husband throughly enjoyed it. The house variety of bbq sauces was extensive, and all were yummy. They have a stage upstairs where on Friday and Saturday nights there is live music upon occasion. We will be back.

Love their food! I tried to call to relay this message but the mailbox was full. There was a worker with dark hair who ate from the food with her glove and kept going….not sanitary, she was also rude to the sweet kind blonde hair girl.
That lady shouldn’t eat from where food with her glove on that is served with same gloves she serves people with. Her being rude to the other worker was not a good vibe.

I was very hopeful for a smoky, tender and juicy brisket, but it wasn't so juicy and hardly smoked at all. While it tasted ok and was tender, it wasn't what I believe brisket truly should be. Sauces were very tasty and Mac n cheese very yummy! Love that fried okra was an option!! The honey butter option on cornbread was a nice surprise, but the cornbread didn't seem very fresh, very dense.

Hands down the best bbq place I’ve found in Utah. A total hole in the wall, and I say that with the utmost respect, as my experience in the South was the best bbq was found in out of the way places that weren’t commercialized. The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. Food was the best. I won’t go to any other bbq places in Utah after finding this place.

Worst brisket I’ve ever tried in my life!
Coleslaw was dryer than grandmas urn not a drop of dressing just chopped cabbage!!
(The only good thing I got was their Mac and cheese that was actually really good)
Eastern here twice in a month with a work group. Ribs were off the bone, chickens was juicy and smokey. The absolute start is the cornbread. Get it with the honey butter!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but man, I just had to!! This brisket tastes like America. The Mac n cheese is the best I’ve had. 6 stars.
Over the years, the quality has slipped.
Five Star BBQ is awesome! The food was very tasty -- especially the brisket and ribs. But the best part was the live music. Bill Brimley's band was playing and they crushed it! Such a fun vibe and great music and even better food. Can't wait to go back.
We got take-out. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the brisket which was so fatty. Almost half my husband's portion was so fatty that he couldn't eat it. The coleslaw was decent, as were the beans and fries. I got a side salad which didn't come with salad dressing! We won't be returning.
The food was absolutely amazing! The meat was very tasty!
Only downfall is that, probably because we arrived one hour before closing time, they only had just enough staff to serve you at the counter as if you were at a fast-food restaurant.
I would come back during the day and eat here again!
