The entire restaurant smelled with what is best described as an old hospital smell, I couldn't quite place it but it was overwhelming and interfered with our meal. The food was good but not overwhelmingly enough to justify the money.

Two of my friends are from Peru and we had dinner here and they loved it! We had ceviche, tacu tacu, and fettuccine huacaina. And Inca Cola!

Very delicious acevichado sushi with spicy sauce and wonton with honey hibiscus... The other dishes are good quantity. We had a great time, there were 5 of us! Very good atmosphere! And the lady at the cashier serves well and gave me spicy sauce for an extra flavor! I want to come back!!

I really wanted to like this place, I really did. I thought the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian was a cool idea, and I liked the decor with 1 Japanese wall and the other wall Peruvian. I like supporting small businesses too. However, it wasn't a good experience. The food was quite expensive for portion size, my lomo saltado was too salty, and my wife's $20 fried seafood platter was chewy. Worse, there was a black hair underneath our causa rellena and the owner/cook was eating lunch while she managed the kitchen. I'm pretty sure that's a health code violation. We were the only people there and our food took 30 minutes to be done. I've been to both Peru and Japan and this food was definitely not a representation of the deliciousness I experienced there.

Waiting 55 minutes and still no food. The ventilation is poor and the kitchen smoke is giving me a headache. I won’t be able to enjoy the food no matter how good it is because of the poor service.

Ive been to Mixturas 3 times in the last 3 weeks because my boyfriend got obsessed after he tried the chaufa rice. The first time, I got that rice too and it was way too salty, but I told this to them and they fixed it perfectly and were super nice!Second time was as good as you can wish.Third time I got lomo saltado but chicken version and it was absolutely delicious. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of the lack of clients spoiling/pleasing, if that’s even a thing. My boyfriend wanted a rice that was chicken AND shrimp, but they said it was not possible and it has to be just one meat. Also, my friend wanted the rice with his lomo to be fried rice and they said it was not possible too. These are things that don’t change at all the quality of the place and how much we like it, it’s just it would be nice to be able to do these small changes, specially when we are willing to pay the extra as it corresponds.Other than this, Mixturas rocks, and considering how hooked my guy is, I think im gonna come back pretty often?

Such an amazing place. Please try “tiraditos” and the acevichado rolls. Totally underrated and such a gem in Utah county.

When we arrived it was super full so it’s understandable that the food would take long. We ordered egg rolls, lomo saltado & the cashiers recommendation fettuccine saltado.. according to her it was the most popular dish they have. The appetizer came last wasn’t to happy about that & the fettuccine saltado wasn’t good at all neither was their red sauce. If you are coming to this location stick to the lomo imo. Egg rolls were good tho!

I was lucky enough to stumble across this place and what a find. Peruvian food is one of my favorites and the Japanese influence only made the flavors I love better. The FETTUCINE HUANCAINA is one of the best dishes I have ever had and my young daughter loved the CHICKEN KATSU SOBA. We did not have any of the seafood dishes so I can't speak to that, but what we did have was fantastic. And do yourself a favor and finish the meal with LUCUMA ICE CREAM. Delicious!
