Rimmels Original German Döner

Food with real quality ingredients. The service was very friendly and kind. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.

Found a piece of metal wire in my food. Good food but won't be coming back..

I don't know if it's the food that's gone downhill since the original owners sold it and moved back to Germany, or if it's my body that's gone downhill since turning 40, but this place just isn't the same. There is not enough meat and too much sauce on the Döners (I've started asking them to go light on the sauce and it's still too much), and something about it doesn't agree with my stomach anymore. I lived in Germany two years (guess why?) and have visited several towns in Germany since. Rimmels is accurately named 'Original German Döner'. I do love this place, I've been so many times. I typically do Berlin style with half 'Sose' (sauce). I love taking newbs who've never tried a döner. They always love the offerings here.

Disappointing when you order several Döners to have spicy toppings only to receive just tzatziki sauce and no spice.May try again in several months and change rating.

This is a great restaurant if you need that Doner fix but cannot find a decent place anywhere else. I'm more partial to a larger pita cut into quarters, but the small round buns work well enough. The meat is cut in very large pieces and collect right at the bottom. I recall the turkish Doner Ladens holding the pita on its side and placing meat on one the bottom side and the vegetables on top of the meat so that each bite has both meat and vegetables. It's a pity that many of the employees don't speak German.

Went to Rimmels stood at the counter for a few minutes no one there to help me so I cant tell you how it is. Two people talking amongst them selves ignoring me.

This is THE place to get delicious Döner. The portions are more than enough and the quality is just delicious!

The Bratwurst was the absolute best! My only complaint is I added sauerkraut on the Doner for an additional cost and received 1 tbsp. Was disheartened, but we will be back for sure!
