We love Sushi Up. When we moved to Utah County 2 years ago, we had to find a sushi place. We were a bit skeptical because it is in a strip mall (across from Taco Bell), but don't let that deter you!!! This has become our favorite sushi place. We have eaten in the restaurant and also ordered take-out at least once/month since we moved here.

Terrible service.. We got there 25 minutes before closing and they said we have to hurry if we want to stay. If you're not willing to serve customers after 8:30 don't say you're open until 9:00.

Honestly one of the more unknown and surprising places I have been to in the valley. Food presentation was above and beyond what I would expect for this class of restaurant. The dragon hearts are phenomenal (honestly came back specifically for those). Service was really fast (though not super busy at the time). Will look forward to coming back.

I've eaten here twice and am very impressed with the quality of sushi and the kind, professional service.
We also appreciated their special at lunchtime in a weekday!

I was a little surprised to pay $21 for one sushi roll- I did not get a receipt so I am not even sure what the up charges were besides soy paper from $14 menu price? I asked for no crab and they asked what I wanted to substitute but did not mention an 2$ upcharge to NOT include crab But, it was a good roll. I asked for 'no ginger, no wasabi' and I think the chef heard me, he made it correctly despite the waiter trying to give me extra ginger. The tuna and shrimp was fresh. I just got one take out roll and was told 10-20 minutes but it was more like 6 minutes. I've never paid more than $13 for that same roll, even in Hawaii, so watch for all those upcharges. I would go again but I would find out why they charge extra to remove ingredients.

So, I’m really picky about sushi. In fact, I don’t eat it in Utah County anymore because it’s way over priced for mediocre product.

Saw Sushi Up for the first time online and thought - let’s give it a shot. Took my son and wife for his birthday.

We ordered three apps, six roles and wow… so damn good! Kill Bill, Volcano, Jack Sparrow, Playboy (those are the ones I remember). Out of this world. And, the best part is on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, prices are discounted. So for all 9 items, paid $80. 🤯

Don’t skip this place. The guys are awesome, so friendly and service was fantastic. This is now our sushi spot when we’re in the mood.

Thanks guys!!

Initially, the restaurant's appearance may seem unassuming. However, despite some initial challenges with order processing, the service provided was excellent and welcoming. The sushi offerings are of exceptional quality, boasting both freshness and flavor. This establishment is highly recommended for individuals who appreciate sushi.

Visited around 7:30 PM on a Friday evening when it wasn't very busy; for a while, we were the only guests in the restaurant. We started with the Dragon Heart appetizer, which ended up being one of our favorites of the night. We also ordered the Fire Dragon Roll and the Volcano Roll.

The Fire Dragon Roll was both visually impressive and had a great seared flavor with excellent texture. The Volcano Roll featured a crunchy topping that reminded me of unsalted potato chips, paired with a flavorful sauce, though the roll itself was fairly average.

The staff also brought out a complimentary appetizer called Mango Loco, as it was a new item they were looking for feedback on. It featured mango, cream cheese, and what appeared to be coconut shrimp, all wrapped in rice paper. The dish was quite sweet, with the mango and cream cheese providing a nice contrast of flavors, though the sweetness somewhat overpowered the shrimp. While I’m personally not a fan of rice paper texture, I found it acceptable, and my mom enjoyed it quite a bit.

Staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The only minor issue was that the women’s restroom was out of paper towels.
