Placed an online order to go with the pick up time that the system had available as the soonest at 6 PM, so I chose that time. At any other café Rio, even at in other previous instances at this specific location, I’ve put an order for pick up and have gone through the drive-through , and I’ve never had an issue. This is why I’m so disappointed , I arrived at 6:03 pm, I was three minutes late from the pick up time, I let them know I had a pick up under my name and I immediately get told to Please pull to the front of this restaurant and come INSIDE the store, that my order was not ready yet, and it won’t be ready by the time i pulled up to the front of the drive-through. I’m past my pick up time , the food should’ve been ready getting cold even, but it no, it wasn’t even ready. I go inside, They’re barely still working on it; restaurants not even full. There wasn’t a single soul in line ordering food when I went in. I didn’t get my food until around 6:13 PM. I grab my food , get to my car.Checked to make sure everything I ordered was there and realized my “to go “ on the side flower tortilla is not in the bag. I double & triple check because I do not want to get out of the car AGAIN to go back inside just for fun. I go in and Wait for about a minute. No one‘s helping me finally some young girl that was taking orders asked if what she could help me with. I let her know I just came back for the flower tortilla on the side that wasn’t in the bag. She said she was certain she put it in there. I said OK well I checked and it’s not in there. I only found a hard shell tortilla in there. She said well can you go double check I said I did double check and it’s not in there And she asked me for a second time basically refusing OK well could you go double check again … okay WHAT? I’m sorry, what kind of service is that ?? Im way irritated at this point , and let her know that I would not have come back inside if I had already not done my job and doublechecked. Like what would be the point of me coming back inside if What I had asked for INITIALLY would’ve been there to begin with. and at that point, she said oh I’m sorry Let me get it for you . like little girl was that tortilla coming out of your paycheck ?? HORRIBLE customer service either she has not been trained well or if she has , she’s not doing her job at all. And to top it all off , finally get home to & about ready to eat the food, the salad/tostada I ordered had maybe a tablespoon of meat and the rest nothing but a bowl full of lettuce. Like I had to LOOOK for the meat, it almost looked like there was none and NO SAUCE was put in there for the damn tostada/salad. Like I literally am fuming with this place.

It was such an unpleasant experience. The app told me it would be done at 7-7:10 pm. It is now 8:30 and I haven’t got my order yet. I was waiting for a whole hour without anyone even saying a word to me. I used to love this place but obviously it needs some major improvements. 0/10 stars

I don’t know why but the quality of food has continued to decline since Covid. The Payson location is exceptionally bad.
Brown guac. soggy lettuce. hardly any meat in salads.
Costa vida continues to be the better quality.
Shame because Cafe Rio was bomb back in the day.

The server is very stingy. We got very small portion after paying $11.50 each. One teaspoon of rice, cheese beans .
Horrible place .. ended up going to McDonald's for their $5 deal because we were still hungry
Next time go to Costa Vida..

The employees here are so rude. I saw them vaping in the kitchen and they made me so uncomfortable worst customer service ever. not to mention the food was nasty.

I would not recommend doing online ordering at this location. The time they tell you to show up is a lot earlier than when they actually get done. After ordering my food online, the app said it should be done in 15-20min. I showed up around the 15-minute marker. There was nobody in line but there was four other people ahead of me with online orders. Needless to say, my food didn't get to me until 30 minutes after the initial time. It said it would be done. While I was waiting I had watched at least three or four people get in line and order their meals and get it before I did so Online ordering is kind of bogus when it comes to this place.

It took me an hour to get a mobile order I placed. Not from when I placed it to when I received it but from after I walked into the restaurant at its pick up time to when it was actually given to me. I dont understand how incompetent you have to be to take 70 minutes to put chips, beans, meat and cheese on a plate.

Chicken tortilla soup that is pretty much broth with 2 pieces of chicken and no tortilla… this place cannot get it right. Will stick to Costa Vida.

The corn tortillas have a seasoning on them that is so salty as to overpower the signature flavor of the sweet pork salad. This is the first time I noticed since my last visit over a month ago. If this is a permanent change, I won't be backm

We usually love Cafe Rio, however this location does have the worst ratings in the State. :/
If you go through the drive-thru make sure you tell them to add the meat that you're paying $12 for to your meals, otherwise your salad or burrito will come without or with an extremely small amount of meat.

This is our third time having to return our food after getting home and being disappointed...

Please train you staff on correct portions. Thanks

The crew working today at 2:20 was awesome! The portions were perfect, the staff was friendly and the cashier was so nice. The whole experience was great! Definitely will be eating here again.

Went through the drive through, asked for a smothered burrito/enchilada style, asked for no pico, yes to the lettuce and asked for cilantro then asked for a side of guac and tomatillo dressing. Didnt get dressing, guac or cilantro and got pico. Added my own sour cream once I was home since I didn’t get my dressing.

Update after a few bites. I don’t know how, maybe not enough liquid but the tortilla tasted stale and was crumbly. Quite a disappointment all around.
