I travel Utah for my work, and I always look for local businesses to support, wherever I can. I found myself in Pleasant Grove, Utah and oh my goodness, what a treat it was to find myself on Center Street, at Cravings Bistro. I stepped in for lunch, and most of the tables were occupied - took that as a good omen. Walked up to the counter and ordered the TBA - turkey, bacon, avocado, grilled. It's not a fast-food place - food orders are filled when you place your order - and it was worth the wait for the best combo I've pretty much ever had. Now I can't wait to be back in town to try other items on their menu. Food is ***** all the way, and the atmosphere is cool and a bit eclectic. Do yourself a favor and check it out sometime.

Food was simple but very good. Spacious seating. Located in old Pleasant.
Perfection
We ordered a cookie and a float. Our friends were able to get their food and eat it before we got those 2 things. At least 15 people that ordered after us got their meals. The cookie was in a display by the register, so we should have at least gotten that when we went up and asked about our order. I’ve eaten here in the past, and the food was ok. Nothing amazing, but not terrible. There were other people that had been almost as much as us for an online order. The front end workflow seems to be prioritizing taking new orders rather than working on orders that have already come in. When we came in there wasn’t anyone else in line. We ordered at 5:20, still didn’t have either of those 2 items by 6:05. After asking about our order for a second time we finally got the cookie and they started on the float. They still operate on a paper order system, so I’m not surprised our order got lost. Regardless, 40 minutes and 15 other orders sent out before we got our cookie and float is ridiculous.
The food was great. We enjoyed a pizza grilled cheese, mac & cheese with pulled pork, and a protein salad and loaded fries. All were delicious. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean and enjoyable.
Cravings was great! Excellent customer service as staff provided recommendations on food and ordering online. The food was wonderful! Highly recommend!
This place is so bad at service and prioritizing. We waited 45 minutes for our sweet potato fries and they were giving out orders to others who ordered after us and they left before us. Ridiculous!
This place would be such a cute and fun place to go but the inside atmosphere is extremely sad, not only the restaurant itself. Every single time I go in without fail the employees look miserable and the owner, Angie, is yelling or telling someone they are doing something wrong. My most recent visit i went in just for a float and had a super sweet girl help make it, after handing it to me, Angie took her in the back and said that she had made the whole thing wrong, I guarantee if you were close enough, and I was, along with at least 3 other people, you could hear her. As far as I am aware it is a perfect float and I drank the whole thing. I do not take kindly to restaurants/ businesses treating their employees the way Angie treats her staff. Of course my opinion has a big say in why I'm rating this place so low, but I cannot support a business who does this, it is an unacceptable way to treat anyone and quite frankly childish.
Anything cheese, mac & cheese, so many different grilled cheeses, salads, soups, and for November Thanksgiving in a sandwich, so good!
Kid-friendliness: Great for kids, and what they like to eat!

They make the best grilled cheese sandwiches, and I love the option of the “dipper”. I’ve waited an hour for my food before and that’s not uncommon for them even when they are not very busy. Also, it’s obviously not the end of the world, but I feel like the interior is very dark and poorly decorated/designed. It certainly doesn’t match the quality of the food?

A different place but it sets the mood. The menu is wide and creative. I wish I could take one of everything. Whenever we visit I like to try something new and am not disappointed.

I really wanted to like this place.
I don't mind the super long wait.
My experience wasn't great due to ordering gluten free and being sick all day after. I also was shocked by how little food there is in the kids meals...it wasn't enough food for any of my small kids, ages 5-12. It's half of a very tiny sandwich, even when you pay extra for the gluten free bread which is smaller (according to them.) It was more like a snack than a meal amount.
I just wasn't thrilled. The pesto and tomato sandwich had really weird fake-looking/tasting chicken in it, which seemed strange for "gourmet." I think quality when I think gourmet, so maybe that's a me issue.
The pesto itself wasn't good. I'm a pesto snob admittedly, but that was really the second to worst pesto I've ever had.
Last, the fries had seasoning that taste like a cheap, weird off-brand seasoning you'd find on clearance in TJMaxx or something. The fries themselves would've been great plain--texture, quality, etc was 10/10...just the seasoning ruined them. And it would've been nice to know the regular fries are weirdly seasoned and not just fries like you're expecting.

I get that it is short staffed, but its been short staffed forever, it took almost 45min just for our drinks. More employees, figure it out. The price I paid for 2 people, I expect food timely, as we have been here almost an hour and a half, still no food. Then they come up and tell me that the soup wont be ready for another 20 minutes. It was kind of a joke honestly and I wouldn’t recommend it. (Edit): They made our sandwiches before the soup and they came out cold because they waited. What a joke. Service was not acceptable. I never write reviews and I am here now writing one.

While the food is delicious and a unique take on the grilled cheese, they seem to be chronically understaffed during the lunch hour. No fault of the staff that is working. They are nice and you can tell they are fully engaged in their job. My orders have taken over 30 min to be filled. Good food but be patient and plan extra time.

We got to try this place twice. We came here because they have glutenfree options. The first time we sat in and my wife didn't have a reaction. The 2nd time we picked up our food and this time my wife had a reaction. We like the food a lot but please be more careful to not cross contaminate the food.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options.
