Today we chose to eat at The Purple Turtle. I hadn’t been there in many years, so there was a bit of curiosity
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the memories. The service left a lot to be desired—it felt like the workers didn’t know what they were doing and weren’t personable at all. Honestly, they seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The food was terrible and definitely not worth what they charged for it.
Been coming here for years. Love the food!!!
The piña colada custard was DELICIOUS! I would recommend 1000%
The burger was good, onion rings and fries were very crispy which I love.
Greatest local chain fast food place in Utah! The shakes are big ( double the amount for the same size of other places) and delicious!
The Purple Turtle in Pleasant Grove has been a local favorite for years, and it’s easy to see why. I had the chicken strips and onion rings—both were really good. The onion rings are different than most, with a tasty batter that stands out. Their shakes are also delicious. Classic spot that’s stood the test of time.
This is a great place to get a quick bite to eat, it's inexpensive and has great choices ranging from burgers to corn dogs and even sandwiches. Fry's are a must. This place is great atmosphere for a conversation and a place that is appropriate for kids as well. I love going to the purple turtle because it's a local restaurant that's one of a kind and their service is exceptional. Five stars of the purple turtle keep that **** up!
Ordered a kiddie turtle (chocolate caramel-Almonds) shake. Paid a lot for it. It was chocolate ice cream. About the same amount of ice cream you would get ordering a single cone. My expectations were far from being met. I felt like I really over paid for what I received in return.
This is old school cool. Great food. Get a burger and shake like old the days
Food was good but very expensive for a hamburger and tots. No combo pricing.
We love the Purple Turtle! It's been our family's favorite restaurant in the area for years, and my grandpa used to love taking his kids there back in the day too. Great value for the hamburgers, the fries and onion rings are amazing, and the chocolate malt shake can't be beat!

Their fry sauce is my favorite, delicious food and ice cream every single time!!
Shon helped us at the register. He was delightful, patient, friendly and professional. Our food was great as well, but Shon … he was the cherry on top.
The Purple Turtle is a good restaurant. It has all the good comfort food. Plus, how many restaurants do you know that have a purple roof?
Very good food. Had never even heard of this place until the day we went, and I enjoyed it.
Food just isn’t that great. I wanted to like it. I promise I’m not a good snob but the mostly high reviews I guess says otherwise. I don’t get it and I’m a burger guy. I haven’t been here in 10 years and now I’ll never come back. Love the nostalgia though and iconic visuals from the road.
