Ordered takeout while staying in Provo for a night. The food was incredible! We got the wedge salad (very good dressing) bbq buffalo burger and it was delish (partner says it was the best they’ve ever had). The Navajo taco was sooo good (green chili pulled pork - isn’t crunchy for takeout but that was expected) and the goat cheese queso - more like a cheesy salsa but also very good
This place was highly recommended to us by family and friends, it definitely deserves that recommendation. Situated in downtown Provo the location is perfect. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table, it was busy, showing what a popular place this is so I would suggest making a reservation to be sure of a table.
The menu offers a good variety of options. We started with the honey and lavender fry bread which is so so good (I ordered extra to go after our meal) and followed this with the seared hanger steak which was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables served with it.
We ordered the cactus pear lemonade which was sweet and deliciously refreshing.
This has to be my new favourite place to eat, there were so many things I wanted to try so it's such a shame I am only here for a short stay otherwise I would become a regular diner at the Black Sheep Cafe .
Blue cheese burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time!
I was a bit disapponted, as was my friend with our food. I had steak tacos and she had steak salad. The steak was tough. I ended up not eating my second taco. But the flavor was great.(She agreed on the flavor) I do not recommend either of those menu items
We loved this restaurant. The standouts on the menu are the steak tacos and the hog gel tacos or nachos. We had the southwestern Caprese salad, which was a fun twist on the typical version. This one had pickled or sautéed peppers on top. We also had the steak tacos with caramelized onions, andblue cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese and radishes and jalapeños. Very delicious. The cilantro lime rice was also very tangy and yummy. We loved the pinto beans as well.
My sister wanted me to try Navajo tacos. Very yummy. They're made on a sweet fried bread. Also the honey lavender short bread was really good.
Food was amazing!!!! Sweet pork Navajo taco was excellent!!
Genuinely didn't love this place. I've heard rave reviews. My husband and I both ordered the bison burgers (his was the bbq one, mine was the other one) and it was nothing to write home about. The fries were really good! I got the rosemary fries and he ordered the sweet potato fries. Both were good. However, I cannot say that the prices are worth the hype. I wouldn't pay $22+ for that burger again. Also, my husband ordered an old fashioned and we both thought it was sub par. All in all, try it if you want, we probably won't go back.
Got the pozole and it was TO DIE FOR! Lovely interior and knowledgeable staff!
Way overpriced average food. Then they want to force a high tip for zero service.
IMO. McDonnalds gives you more and better service.

Great food. The blue corn enchiladas with the vegetarian option were delicious. Get the habanero orange creme brulee. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent Food. Staff at the Hyatt House recommended and it was a quick 2 block walk from the hotel. Great wine, queso, and tacos.
Black Sheep is always great! I’ve eaten here multiple times and am always impressed with the quality of the food and the service.

This is one of my absolute favorite Gourmet burger places of all time! A fantastic artisan restaurant tucked away in Provo, this is perhaps the best burger you can get not just in town but arguably within the whole State!
The Blue Cheese Burger is one of the sleeper burgers on the Lunch menu, and it’s secret to being so amazing comes from the Cabernet reduction that synchronizes expertly with the caramelized onions, crisp candied bacon, Blue Cheese, and fresh arugula. The whole flavor profile is intense and immensely satisfying! The Nanniskadii Bun (like flatbread) is dense and chewy, but not in an overpowering way. The whole experience is testament to the expert craft of the chefs, and is my absolute recommendation to anyone who goes here! A word of caution though—the Lunch Menu and Dinner Menu are different, so pay close attention to what is available when. The Blue Burger, for example, is a Lunch specialty only.
The sweet potato wedges and the house sauce are perhaps the reason so many people continue to return. Incredibly moist and tender fries are seasoned delicately with an addicting “adobe” profile that absolutely divinely pairs with the House sauce. The sauce is akin to “campfire sauce”, but is creamy, thick, and addicting delicious. Anyone who says they don’t double-dip will find themselves dipping 2-3x per fry just to keep the sauce moving into their mouth!
An incredibly wonderful experience every time I come, I always highly recommend this location to all who want a higher class meal in Provo.
Parking: There’s a few spots of street parking right out front, but it’s really difficult to get a spot. Most people have to find a place somewhere on University and walk to the entrance
