You can always tell if a restaurant is good or not based on how tasty their side vegetables are. The sauteed zucchini that came with my entree was fantastic. I got the vegetarian Navajo taco. Honestly, it was pretty plain as far as fillings go. Beans, lettuce, tomato. But the fry bread that it came on was so darn good that the whole thing was elevated to next level. Delicious!Vegetarian options: Minor vegetarian options, but it was clearly labeled

We decided we were just going to drive around the area until we found someplace that looked okay and open, found a parking spot by there went in, and we were seated immediately and friendBoth of our plates of food were delicious. The atmosphere was friendly. The portions were right for the price. He was a great deal. We'll go back.

The hostess is terrible. I had a reservation on 3/23 at 5:00 pm. I had the confirmation AND the reminders that had been sent from the restaurant. We got to the (empty) restaurant right at 5:00 and had multiple people come in behind us. When I told the hostess my name she said she didn’t have my name on the reservations list. I proceeded to show her my confirmation and the text messages that followed. In between answering phone calls she tells me that she didn’t know why but my name wasn’t on their list. She then said “I can seat you but you need to leave by 6:00. We have another reservation at 6:00” I told her I felt that wasn’t fair as I had a 5:00 reservation. By the time she was finished answering calls, I agreed to leave by 6:00 and we were sat at 5:15. She belittled me in front of the others in the restaurant. I was so embarrassed. If you can get past the rude hostess as you walk in the door, the food is good.

ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE SPOTS. My sister and I stopped in for lunch cause we wanted to try something new, and I think it's testament enough that she then brought her husband back for dinner the same day. We tried a few things- all delicious. Perfectly cooked fry bread and the soup, to quote my sister, "filled a void in [her] heart that [she] didn't know was missing" Our server was also sweeter than the honey lavender appetizer. TEN out of TEN

Every time I go to Black Sheep Cafe I come away happy. I love everything on their menu- this time I tried one of their staple Navajo tacos and shared their Lavender Fry Bread with a friend as an appetizer. Their food is high quality and so rich in flavor, the options are unique- especially for Provo, and their staff is extremely kind and helpful, which helps when it's impossible to decide what you want when you go. Highly recommend for a lunch or dinner spot that is SO GOOD.
