We ordered the Pork and Fish plate. The pork was incredible, while my plate with fish had chorizo and a couple other flavors that just didn't mix well. Otherwise a great date night location.

I have enjoyed going to Block for dinner several times, but have not tried their sunday brunch until yesterday. We were so disappointed! My husband ordered the country fried steak and it was so overcooked and had a very thick gravy on top that he could only down 1/2 of it. The rosemary potatoes were old tasting and also overcooked. I ordered the French toast with peaches but it came with apples instead. The French toast was barely warm but was okay. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious but came in a 6 ounce glass. With tip we paid over $100 for food that was mediocre at best. Should have gone to Grand America for that price!!!

Our server was fantastic, but it took over 30 minutes for the kitchen to get our brunch out and one of us got cold food once it finally came. The kitchen had some troubles, but the cocktail and server were great.

Thought of trying this place for our 26th wedding anniversary because I had heard relatively good things. Went to their website and lo and behold they were holding a special event for the exact date of our anniversary to usher in their new management.

Sounded perfect. Reserved a spot as the instructions said and tried to call the next day to chat with someone about details, no one answered so I left a voice message. Within 30 minutes received an email saying my reservation was canceled by the restaurant. Tried calling, again no answer. Did not hear from them for over 24 hours, and when they did leave a voice mail they said the event was full and we could eat, in the corner, at the bar (for our 26th anniversary). And get this, they did not leave a name, nor gave contact info on who to call back (If we wanted to eat their limited menu - at the bar - not part of the event we registered for).

Not sure who the new management is, but clearly they do not know what they are doing, have any concept of customer service nor professionalism. Looks like an omen of what is to come with this place? We'll take a pass on The Block Restaurant.

I used to like this restaurant until their meny changed to seasonal and in summer the vegetables is only corn.
Corn bread, corn as a side corn as everything.
I canot expect from a upscale restaurants to serve cheap corn as a all sides for their dishes. Beside that the other seasonal vegetables is also very limited and often Brussels sprouts and it is that much fried that it is burnt and not edible and the amount is hardly 1 or 2 oz and shredded. Which is why is too burnt and tasteless.
The beet salad and the hanger steak by itself is very delicious.

The food and drinks truly could not have been better. Every bite was melt-In-your-mouth perfection of the freshest flavor combinations you can imagine. The service was also punctual, thoughtful and explained well and the decor was inspiring and tateful. This would have been 5 stars all the way for me had the crowded atmosphere of the room been a bit more quiet or set up with more partitions. However, its totally understandable with rents being what they are these days, you take what you can get....but for a strictly food experience, the pace cannot be beat. Wow!

Drink: Provo Sour - a strong, not overly sugary, beautiful two tone cocktail

Salad: Watermelon salad - a wonderful combination of greens, house made vinegrette, watermelon, blackberries, and cucumbers. Everything complements the other ingredients in this well thought out combination

Main: Potato Gnocci with short rib - I thought I died and went to heaven. I drank, yes drank, the bottom of the bowl. Between the pillowy gnocchi and the melt away tenderness of the beef and mushrooms, it must be tried to be believed.

Dessert: Pistachio Gelato - the Gelato stays cold and unmelted for longer than I've ever seen from any other Gelato. Real. Chewy. Creamy. Flavor. In healthy portions. You'll never be able to try another Gelato again without being reminded of this one. And that's not a bad thing.

Took our family of 4 in for BRUNCH today after our bike ride through Provo Canyon and we devoured each of our plates! My husband and son shared the large breakfast burrito, my 8 yr old daughter had the buttermilk pancakes with unicorn syrup (magic syrup) and I had the breakfast sausage and egg sandwich with jalapeño cheese hash browns. Thought the price point was fair!! We will be back 🙌

We had an incredible experience at Block. The Mary’s chicken and short rib gnocchi were outstanding. Rich in flavor and beautifully prepared. Service was top notch from start to finish.

It happened to be my birthday, and we made the rookie mistake of bringing our 2 year old in the middle of her terrible twos. What could have been stressful turned into a sweet moment when one of the cooks noticed her struggling and handed her a unicorn headband to play with. Later, during dessert, she accidentally dropped and shattered a Gallotto glass bowl. The servers rushed over, handled it with kindness, and quickly cleaned it up without making us feel uncomfortable.

The food is reason enough to go back, but the way the team treated our family made this meal unforgettable. Highly recommend.
