They gave me extra lettuce when I asked for it and didn't shame me for wanting the lettuce.

Waited 20 minutes in the drive through for 3 items... enchiladas, quesadilla, and soup. Had 5 cars behind us that got their food before us. The chicken in my soup and in the quesadilla were huge..like I shredded it up 6 or 7 times to get it bite size

The food is delicious and the service is great.

I am updating this review to reflect the past few times I’ve been here. There are only two employees here I trust to not skimp, make the wrong meal, or be unprofessional. I don’t know what happened but besides those two employees, every time I come here now I get glares, treated like trash, and generally have a horrible experience.

This location is disgusting!! Every time we go, the dining room is filthy and it is impossible to find a clean table. We ordered a salad and the rice was basically raw and I almost chipped a tooth. We will definitely not be going back

0 Stars. Attempted to satisfy my wife’s pregnancy cravings of Costa Vida but had to unfortunately settle for Cafe Rio. Arrived at 9:17 PM (roughly 45 minutes before closing). Sat in the drive thru for ten minutes before we decided to just go inside. As we’re walking up to the door around 9:30 PM (Now 30 minutes before their posted closing time) and the employee was rushing to lock the door before we fully reached the door. The PREGNANT wife then began crying due to her not being able to satisfy her craving. Incredibly disappointing but I suppose should be expected going to a Cafe Rio.

Do not ever go to this particular restaurant. The people that worked here on June 23, 2025 at 7:13 PM are some of the worst people I’ve ever encountered with customer service.

I ordered through the application. They did not have Horchata so they asked me if I wanted a different drink. I went to go self serve myself for a different drink, but all of the machines were absolutely dirty and disgusting. Therefore, I asked for a refund. They could not give me a refund. The reason they couldn’t give me a refund was because I ordered through the app. Therefore, they instructed me to call customer service so that way I can get my money back. However, they would not empathize with me, or at least be a little bit more considerate when I asked for help in contacting customer service.

Again, do not ever go to this particular restaurant.

I paid $7 for guacamole and my cup wasn’t even half full, it was like 2 scoops. Highly disappointed, I don’t usually complain but that’s awful!!!

Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Cafe Rio. There was barely any food ready, and they told me the steak would be done in 10 minutes—only for it to come out completely raw because the grill wasn’t even on. The lady making tortillas was the only saving grace (she deserves 5 stars), but everything else was a mess. Customer service was mid at best, no one really welcomed us or seemed to care we were even there. The mint lemonade? Something was seriously off. It had weird things floating in it and tasted diabolical. And to top it all off, they gave me beans… and let’s just say my night after that was not okay. It was also very messy so much food was cross contaminated. Do better, Cafe Rio. Trust me amigo it’s not worth it…

I mean, if you know you know 😏
But if you don't, I like the atmosphere here, the manager is really good. Nice, happy and uh, the food is really good. I do like the fire grilled steak. Most people like sweet pork, but I do recommend getting the fresca salsa. If you like a little spice for me, it's not spicy just flavor.
