The salad bar is the best one in town, IMO. So much variety and so fresh. The staff there are amazing and friendly, especially Terri. This is my go to place to eat--so much value for the money!!

Many food choices, a little hit and miss. I mean, it's a cafeteria, not a fine dining establishment. Within that realm, and with a bit of practice, one may find the offerings that are to one's liking. Salmon Friday is top tier! And the smells coming from the grill area, amazing. Also, it helps to be good at putting a cohesive meal together at a buffet situation. You won't leave hungry in any case.

In September 2025, we visited The Cannon Commons on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The Cannon Commons is a self-serve student cafeteria, and it is also open to the General Public. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet style, with different stations for different types of food, including a grill, pizza, salad bar, desserts, and so forth. The cost is very reasonable to eat there and the food tastes delicious and fresh. My recommendation is to come hungry and eat the most nutritious food first, as there is unlimited food available.

Lots is options. Gluten-free food available.
Good place for students, If you're not a student, you can still eat here for $13 as of the time of writing this. I would say that the quality of the food isn't the best, but at least it's all you can eat!

A lot of freshman get tired of the food but I always liked it. Even for the public the price is pretty decent for an all you can eat

It was a super great experience to go there. We went on a weekend, so it was pretty empty. It was 15$ per person for dinner and the food was good, but not great. Everyone who worked there was kind and gracious when it came to helping. The dole whip was the best part of the meal, hands down, but the pizza wasn't bad either. This is the route to go for college students at BYU.

It's all you can eat for cheap! Price varies by meal but they change up the selection every day. Look at the menu on the BYU app beforehand

Great place, solid food and price for all you can eat buffet. Arrive hungry!
Vegetarian options: There is a salad bar with plenty of vegetarian options such as BYO salad, lots of fruit, and yogurt. You can also speak with the cooks for vegetarian options if the food they're serving isn't already vegetarian.
Dietary restrictions: Ask the cooks and line workers if the food contains allergens. You can also check the BYU app's dining widget for the daily menu with accompanying food allergens. There are also signs in front of each of the food stations that display the food being served and it's allergens. There is an entire area called the Allergen Bar that is used for keeping salad / sandwich items from being cross contaminated. There is plenty of gluten free bread at the bar and also at the granary. GF desert options are also offered at the granary. Ask any of the food areas if the food can be made df/gf/vegetarian/vegan. They will usually have an option ready for you or will make something. Grill station has gf hamburger buns, gf chicken, and bean patties for vegetarians. If you are Celiac, there is a special area designated for cooking food for you in the back.
Parking: There is a parking lot right in front of the Cannon, but it usually is full of student cars. I would recommend free parking at the nearby TNRB as long as it's after 5pm or at the U Lot just down the road which is always free. BYU's campus map will show these locations.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Tons of families eat here. They provide high chairs and booster seats.
Wheelchair accessibility: Extremely accessible.
