New favorite find! I’m new to the area and stumbled on this little Mexican spot and wow, it did not disappoint.
• The fish tacos were crispy + fresh (their tortillas are perfection).
• The salsa bar is 🔥 so many good choices.
• The fresca of the day was beyond refreshing.
• And they’ve got great outdoor seating for soaking it all in.
Best part? The owner, Joe, was super kind and friendly; you can tell he really cares about the place. 💛
If you’re craving good Mexican food, this is worth the drive.

It was good, but I think the cost is a bit much for the value of the entrees.

Atmosphere- They have all the customers in one corner, even though they have the whole restaurant just spread us out

I hate to say this but it just wasn't that good the day my friends and I came in. It was my first time there. I will try it one more time but order something different.

The food is great! The restaurant itself needs a refresh, and we had to wait a little while to pay our bill.

This establishment has lost everything that made it special. Major changes in food has made it unenjoyable. Service from most staff is a failure. Hard to enjoy food service when nobody wants to serve you. Why would you spend your $$ here?
Serious question: Did Ownership or Management change?

Restaurantji Recommends
It's been 15 years since I last ate at Joe Vera's so I was a little nervous recommending it to my wife. Shouldn't have worried. Same excellent food, great salsa, homemade chips, and reasonable prices. I won't wait another 15 years to go back.

Upon entering the restaurant right at opening, the place had an unpleasant smell for some reason. We stopped by for a quick food break. Got their tacos, it was delicious the meat was marinated really well. Just a bit too salty for my liking. Chips and salsa was also delicious. Staff were kind. :)

The service was good. The prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down since the last time we were here. I had the fish tacos (2), they were street taco size and needed some lime to squeeze on them. The rice that came with my meal was white rice instead of the flavored Spanish rice. We went for lunch to celebrate 31 years of marriage, maybe dinner would have been better.
Me and my wife come here often with friends. My wife absolutely loves it. Our friends are usually 50/50 and it is not my favorite.
The salsa is good the service is always good.
