Only complaint is there isn’t one closer to my house. Really good.

We’ve been coming here for a few years and absolutely love it. Service is always quick and great, everything we’ve tried is so good! K and her husband are the absolute best!
Even our 16 month old eats everything here!

The food is always awesome, the service is always fast and friendly, and the fun atmosphere filled with Japanese TV makes dining in a tempting option over just take-out. Phil, the owner, is awesome too!

Sure. I tell the reason. The food tastes like homemade in anywhere like mothers make. I didn’t taste like professional. I liked service but not taste. I went to K’s kitchen because people suggested me to go. But it’s homemade food. I am sorry.

The food was so yummy. The Sappari chicken was flavorful and crispy. The pork Katsu curry was very tasty. My favorite was the Yakiniku. The Gyoza was also very good.
The portion sizes were small for the price especially when getting the chicken. (I got four pieces of chicken when buying a small size). Overall the taste was good so it was a good place to try but maybe not a go again due to price portion ratio.

Loved everything, from the food to the anime playing on the TVs. Vibes are immaculate and try the barley tea if you've never had it before! (wow safe)

I bought a Babe Ruth the other day. I've been partial to them for years. It's not my go-to everytime, simply in my rotation. I was startled because the diameter/circumference resembled my pointer finger. $1.50 plus tax for what seemed like a somewhat long fun-sized candy bar.

I'm not conflating the medium katsu curry dish here to that shrinkflated Babe Ruth I had last Saturday but the vibe is similar. I guess it's just my age but I distinctly remember when $15 would buy twice the volume of food at a restaurant.

It's no different here than it is anywhere else. Stuff costs more these days.

Quality is really, really good. The curry was amazing. It's about as authentic as it gets. The menu is what it is, they don't offer every Japanese dish known to mankind. They do what they do and they do it very, very well.

Just as the Reverend Peyton preaches, everything is raising but the wages. Provo is lucky to have this place. I will go back.

We stopped by Kay’s Kitchen for dinner before heading back to Salt Lake City. Arrived around 7:20 PM—about 40 minutes before closing—and the staff was very kind and welcoming. Our waitress gave us some helpful suggestions on what’s popular, so we decided to try the Teriyakidon (teriyaki chicken bowl).

The regular size portion came with a generous amount of rice, but not a lot of chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was pretty bland and not the best cut. The onions didn’t have much flavor on their own and relied heavily on the light teriyaki sauce for taste—just a subtle hint of soy and sweetness, but overall underwhelming.

We also tried the barley tea at the waitress’s recommendation. My boyfriend drank a full cup and kept saying it tasted like cigarettes, which gave us a good laugh.

The location itself was a good size—clean, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. While the service and space were nice, I personally wouldn’t rate this as a high-star Japanese spot based on the food alone.

Very yummy, fresh Japanese bowls. The food is minimalist but that’s what I like! Must try the dumplings (gyoza) and the onigiri.

K’s kitchen serves up delicious traditional Japanese dishes that are incredible. Our favorites? The Katsudon and the Oyakodon with Mugicha to drink.
