Amazing experience!! Went here for the first time last night which was me and my girlfriend's anniversary. They were super welcoming. Super polite and attentive. If I were to ever recommend a restaurant here in Utah. I'd say this is the place to go!
The waitress failed to bring out the bread while we ordered a pretzel. Too much bread at that point. We would have tried another appetizer instead.
Here's a more polished version of your review, keeping the tone honest and thoughtful: --- I was excited to try this restaurant, but my experience became progressively more underwhelming. The atmosphere deserves a 4/5—it's inviting and well-designed. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the ambiance, landing at a 3/5 overall. The restaurant is known for its lemonades, but they're made with syrups rather than fresh ingredients, which was disappointing. The “bread basket” was particularly underwhelming: a few room-temperature rolls with cold butter. The rolls were dry, bland, and lacked any redeeming quality, as if they were the pre-packaged rolls. The bruschetta had good flavor, but the topping-to-bread ratio was off. The French onion soup was passable, though the flavor could use more depth. The wedge salad was simple and nothing special for flavor. The steak tenderloins were cooked correctly but were topped with a jelly-like sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The accompanying broccolini had an unpleasant aftertaste, as if it had been cooked in old oil, and the potatoes were undercooked and lacking flavor. The $75 steak fillet came with flavorful steak fries—but no vegetables, which felt incomplete for the price point. Overall, the menu has promise, but the execution falls short—especially considering the cost. It's disappointing to leave a high-end restaurant still feeling hungry.
La Jola Groves was a perfect fit for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was peaceful and the staff treated us extremely well. We ordered the Arancini balls starter—amazing! For entrées, we ordered the tenderloin medallions and tenderloin salad. Both were prepared very well. The medallions were butter-smooth, and the salad was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!
Great experience - booked a dinner after a wedding celebration for 12. Food was great, our server was great. Bar service was very slow but the private room and the food was epic. Would definitely bring the family back!
Very nice atmosphere and service. We were visiting area for a wedding the following day. Food was very good and service was great.
The food was excellent! The Server was professional and did great work. However, our experience was ruined by all the babies at tables next to us. At one point I wanted to walk out because of babies screaming and toddlers walking around our table. We were surprised that people brought their babies out to this nice restaurant where clearly couples were on date nights, but it is Utah Valley so I guess I should have expected it. La Jolla Groves can you at least try and put families in one section of the restaurant and couples or adults only in another section? This would help tremendously. My husband and I paid a lot of money to go to La Jolla Groves for a nice dinner only to have babies and small children right next to our table. Very disappointing!
We enjoyed very much a late lunch there. Only advice I'd give is put some pomegranates into the pomegranate salad too. It does have pomegranate dressing but needs some pomegranates too.
Compliment sandwich:
Servers were attentive and kind, but food took ages to come out and was cold when it arrived. Salads were missing key ingredients listed on the menu and a couple of people were served inedible meals. Atmosphere was decent, but lights didn’t dim to bring the vibes until we were leaving. Would not recommend.
This has by far been the best food and experience we have had. Our waiter Brooklyn was so nice and attending. We went as our 1 year wedding anniversary and this will probably be a yearly tradition going forward!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we had such a great experience! The food was amazing, our server Braxton was professional and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect! We loved the bruschetta appetizer and the tenderloin medallions for an entree! We will definitely be going back!

Dining experience
La Jolla Groves is one of my favorite nicer restaurants in the area! The service and atmosphere are excellent. The price for the quality and presentation of the food is really reasonable. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a nice date night spot!
Great food and service. I love the atmosphere of eating under lemon trees. A great dining experience without having to drive to Salt Lake.
