Compliment sandwich:
Servers were attentive and kind, but food took ages to come out and was cold when it arrived. Salads were missing key ingredients listed on the menu and a couple of people were served inedible meals. Atmosphere was decent, but lights didn’t dim to bring the vibes until we were leaving. Would not recommend.
This has by far been the best food and experience we have had. Our waiter Brooklyn was so nice and attending. We went as our 1 year wedding anniversary and this will probably be a yearly tradition going forward!
My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we had such a great experience! The food was amazing, our server Braxton was professional and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect! We loved the bruschetta appetizer and the tenderloin medallions for an entree! We will definitely be going back!
Nice meal
So friendly and great service and very detailed when telling specials and amazing
Dining experience
La Jolla Groves is one of my favorite nicer restaurants in the area! The service and atmosphere are excellent. The price for the quality and presentation of the food is really reasonable. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a nice date night spot!
Great food and service. I love the atmosphere of eating under lemon trees. A great dining experience without having to drive to Salt Lake.
This place was amazing. The food was perfect and the service was amazing. I will definitely be going back.
I love La Jolla Groves! We have such an amazing experience every time we go. We had the pleasure of having Ashley serve us on Tuesday and I will say she was by far the best! She was very knowledgeable and kind. She felt out our vibe and was super funny with her jokes. The food is always so wonderful and delicious. Never a bad time. I highly recommend. And ask for Ashley if you are trying to turn your day from a 5 to a 10

The service and ambiance were spectacular. The food left something to be desired. My husband's steak entree tasted good, but came out cold. I ordered the scallop risotto and I make risotto frequently at home. The scallops were a bit bland, which could be explained only if they use clarified butter. The risotto was cooked well but critically undersalted and that is coming from someone who almost never adds additional salt when eating out. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding which also came out cold, which was disappointing because the cast iron it was served in was nice and warm. This is not to say that all the food was bad. The bruschetta, which was a cold appetizer was good to me, but my husband who grew up fairly close to Italy was not impressed. The resiling wine was good, sweet and refreshing. The thyme gimlet was delicious and the mushroom bisque that we both ordered was very good. Due to the cold food items that were supposed to be warm though cannot in good conscious give them over a 3 star.

Second visit to La Jolla Groves and while the service and atmosphere were outstanding (Thank you Emie!) the kitchen was a huge disappointment to our party of 9 out of town guests at 7pm last night.
A great first bite, the amuse bouche (dried fig, honey and a cheese cube), along with the Arancini with a wonderfully spicy Arrabiata Sauce were the highlights of the evening. Our starters 3 French Onion Soup and a Mushroom Bisque were all served just barely warm, not at all hot. The petite wedge salads - good presentation and taste. I'm not sure what the breakdown was (server or back waiter), but the first 4 entrees were all served to the wrong diners. When Emie re-entered the room, she corrected it all very quickly and professionally.
Both tortellini entrees again were served barely warm, but the biggest disappointment; they were literally crunchy. Not al dente, but crunchy, both the pasta and the cheese filling. The Grilled Salmon was again tepid in temperature. The salmon and the basmati rice were swimming in the beurre blanc. The grilled scallop risotto was gloppy. The lemon chicken was pretty straightforward with nothing making it standout. Two of our guests did enjoy their Tournedos (tenderloin medallions) and the Lamp Shank.
Emie was also put in a rough spot by the bartender who was stymied by an order for a Compari and Orange Juice. When Emie served the drink, she apologized, saying the bartender wasn't sure how to make it, but Emie sincerely and politely invited me to taste it, let her know what it needed, and that the bartender would correct it. Great service recovery on Emie's part, but come on, the bartender didn't have access to the internet? How hard is a Compari and OJ. They served it in a rocks glass, half full, no ice, no garnish. That was a surprise as they did have a very interesting Cocktail and Mocktail menu, so I'm sure their beverage manager was knowledgeable.
Come for the beauty of the restaurant, polite service and the multiple options for private dining, but sadly not for the food. Perhaps it was just an off night...

Finding this place was a freaking joke, but once we found it, the food was amazing. Jason was the best and the prices for the quality in the food and the service and questionably number one that I’ve been to now that I know where it’s at. I’ll come back.
