Pogo’s Great Pizza & Chicken

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Some of the nicest people and honestly, the food is A+. It’s flavors that are familiar, but taken to the next level.Highly recommend.

What an amazing, flavorful FOOD. Comfort at its best. I've never eaten authentic African food, but this seasoned food was awesome even for my wife, who isn't much on very flavored food. Must have the bread pudding desert.

This place came recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The service was very kind and was happy to answer questions. We had a variety of foods, all tasted great. The image with this review is the 1/2 chicken with peri peri sauce. I tried the hot and it was a great spice level ( note I like hot foods so if you are not a spice lover I would ask for it to the side to judge.) The owner brought out a peri peri chicken pizza for us to try and it was amazing. Honestly, WHEN I go back, that is what I would order. The pavlova was also very good and refreshing after the spices of the chicken.

The food here was awesome and the staff was super friendly! Glad we found it. Based on their recommendations I tried the mild Peri Peri and it was delicious. Come give it a try you won't regret it.

This place is a MUST try for downtown Provo. If someone was visiting Provo and could only go to one place, I would recommend this one! I would recommend the Peri Peri chicken (either the chicken plate or the pizza, whatever you were more in the mood for!) it is so flavorful and so unique. We have only tried the butternut squash and corn so far, but both sides are really good! The atmosphere is really fun as well! If you’ve never tried this place before, now it the time to change that!

Great food, great service!! I'd highly recommend Pogo's. The chicken bowl with Peri Peri sauce is so good! Fresh flavors and quality ingredients. Love the Pogo Bread, the roasted butternut squash, roasted mealie (corn on the cob), and the fries are great, too. Oh, and the bread pudding is also fantastic!! I love a place where they aren't shy about giving recommendations of what to try when you ask. The chicken bowl is quite big, so share it and get some sides to round out your meal.So glad to have this place in Provo!

One of the most amazing dining experiences I've had, ever. We tried several dishes, all of which were fantastic. The service was unbeatable, like you're eating at a family members house. And the bread pudding- I licked the bowl because it was just that good. Trust me, and go. You will not be disappointed! I hope this place remains here forever because I can't imagine my life without this food now.

It really is amazing. I've had peri Peri chicken at Nando's before and loved it. This was flavorful chicken. The fries were crispy and I loved the seasoning.My favorites were the Tandoori chicken pizza and the pudding for dessertThe Tandoori chicken pizza had a thin stone-fired crust. Lots of cheese. I loved the Tandoori sauce and the roasted peppers. It was exceptional.My husband and I split a quarter chicken and pizza and we didn't eat it all. The chicken portion was pretty small but we had the pizza too.The pudding was served warm and had this delectable cream on the side. It was a spongy texture and just delightful.We got to meet the owner and she talked about her special Peri Peri recipe. She is passionate about good food.

Everything about Pogo’s was amazing!!! The owner came and talked to us and was so kind and wonderful. The food was DELICIOUS!!! We got the tandoori chicken pizza, margherita pizza, and baked pudding. It was all so fresh and flavorful and yummy. I think the baked pudding was my favorite though. So so so good. Can’t recommend enough.

ONE OF THE YUMMIEST PLACES IVE BEEN TO! This place was first of all, so clean! Walked in and everyone was so so nice and accommodating. We ordered a margherita pizza and the sweet Thai chicken wrap with chips and it was all so so amazing! It also came out so quick! We added the balsamic vinegar glaze to the pizza and it was divine! Sharon the owner was so nice and made sure our food came out good and made us feel welcome! We literally got so full because we couldn't stop eating the food!

This place is an absolute gem. The interior has such a fun atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly. And the food. Wow. It was served fast and the flavors of their sandwich, fries and mealie were outstanding.To top it all off, their drink options are top notch.

10/10. The food was perfect. Spicy, tasty, great portion size and delicious chicken. The servers were quick to help and provide additional help. I am excited to come here again and again! It is a little pricey, but happy to pay for this quality food.My only comment for improvement is I would have liked to listen to more authentic music. The decor and food is wicked, but it was distracted by pop and country songs blasting through the speaker.

Amazing ?. Everything was phenomenal ☺️. We had chicken bites with lemon & herb. So delicious ?. The fries were so tasty!!! I ordered corn. Wow! Even better then the Mexican corn ? I love. This place is so delicious. I'm surprised there isn't a long line out the door. I can't wait to come back and eat here again.

We went to Pogo's a few months ago for the very first time and we loved their food so much that we asked if they could cater for our wedding, which they very graciously did Brittney was great to work with and so accommodating of our needs and requests, and knew what menu items would work better for our wedding venue. We really appreciated her expertise.We had the restaurant cater their famous 1/4 chicken, roasted mealie, house-made bread rolls, salad, and baked pudding. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and juicy but packed with plenty of flavor and the roasted mealie was a guest favorite. The baked pudding was also not too sweet, which is just about the best compliment an Asian can give any kind of dessert. They also provided some decorations for the buffet spread that complemented our own decorations really well!We learned that our wedding was the first wedding they had ever catered for, but it could not be more perfect. Pogo's provided us incredible value for money and we also received compliments throughout the night from our guests about how good the food was, even the picky eaters! We were informed of guests that had seconds and thirds, while others took home enough leftovers to enjoy for days on end. We honestly could not have found a better caterer for our wedding and we still return to Pogo's when we're in the area.Tl;dr 20/10 all-around food, service, and value.
