I bought the green & red chicken tamales. They are very bland no spice or flavor. Not a lot of filling mostly masa. Definitely not worth what they charge.

My wife and I finally stopped by Tamale Market in Provo, after hearing great things about their tamales. We were met at the door by a wonderful guy who introduced us to their amazing homemade tamales. We ended up ordering a half dozen after trying their Red Chile Beef, which was absolutely delicious. Very sweet corn tamales but they are fantastic. I’d love to see if the people giving out one star reviews have traveled outside Utah… If someone finds a better tamale in Utah let me know!

To be honest, I've never been a fan of tamales--they were always too dry. BUT, the tamales that Hal Porter makes are tender and moist. I'm now a believer.

Save your money go to Walmart and get the Tamale in the can it has way more flavor for the price.. I'm now selling twinkies!... They identify as Tamales.... Trash or frozen garbage?

Great service, very kind people… the tamales were not it tho, I expected the green chile and cheese to be savory but the masa seems to be made of canned corn since it’s unbelievably sweet rather than savory, this goes for the red chile and chicken as well. The red ‘salsa’ is too thick so it comes out pretty dry even if you steam them to heat them up (its spicier than the green one but in combination with the sweet masa???). Maybe this suites the Utah palate or a specific part of Mexico but not its what I was expecting. The price is pretty high considering the high yield of tamales they make, even if you buy a lot. This wasn’t my cup of tea but at least I know now, like I said they are very kind people helping you out

Best service I’ve ever received and the best tamales I’ve ever had. The owner was super nice and was convinced that I needed to try a tamale and love it before he would sell me any more. While I was eating the tamale the owner was saying they weren’t sure if they were going to keep selling tamales, but I’m here to tell ya that I am not going to let them stop lol, these tamales are too good!!
